About the Author

Engr. Arthur Tambong, FPSAE, is the author of Bytex Feasibility Analyzera PSAE-award winning feasibility study (FS) making software compliant with the IAS and IFRS international accounting standards.

 

He received the Master of Engineering degree at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, in 1986. Two years earlier, he received the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering degree, cum laude, at Visayas State College of Agriculture, now Visayas State University, Philippines.

 

He has long experience and achievements in Software-Aided Feasibility Study Preparation. Besides being the author of the BFA FS making software. He is the author of “Time-Saving Innovation Bytex Feasibility Analyzer v5.18 in Feasibility Study Consulting” presented at the 2018 International Scientific Conference on Economics & Entrepreneurship held at Riga Technical University, Latvia, European Union. From 2010-2016, he served as the sole Trainor of the DA-NMIS National Training Series on Software-Aided Feasibility Study Preparation. From 2020 to present, he serves as the sole Trainor of the BAFE-BFAR-VSU Joint National Online Training Series Software-Aided Feasibility Study Preparation & Evaluation funded by 2 Philippine bureaus - BAFE & BFAR. He has trained more than 600 FS experts in various fields. He has conducted FS of various business and development projects with the biggest cost of as much as Php4.78 billion.

 

He is a licensed Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer and a 16th placer in the Licensure Examination. He is the inventor of the DOST-award winning invention “300 Watt-Peak Solar Battery Charging Station”, “Real-time Liquid Monitoring & Device Control System” (RTL-MS), “Real-time Rainfall Monitoring & Device Control System” (now used in flood forecasting & telemetering of dams), and DOST-award winning “Pressure-Actuated Monitoring and Control System” (PAMACS). He has more than 2 dozens of copyrights of software & their upgrades. He authored the book Biogas Plant Design, 1992. He is the author the following eBooks: (a) Intro. to Software-Aided Feasibility Study Preparation, 2022, (b) The 12 Tips to Pass Board Exams with High Rating, 2022, and (c) 3 volumes of the ABE Board Reviewer – Parts I, II & III, 2022.

 

He is a 4-time recipient of the Best Paper Award at various national and international PSABE conventions. He is also a four-time recipient of the Annual Achievement Award presented by the main campus of Mindanao State University. He garnered First Place in the 1993 Informatex Asia, a competition on the convergence of information technology and telecommunications in entire Asia. In 2005, he was the Lone Country Awardee for the Philippines for his Bytex Broad-Based Renewable Energy Program, Globe International Awards, Austria.

 

He was awarded as the country's 1994 Most Outstanding Agricultural Engineer by 3 separate bodies - the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers, the Professional Regulation Commission, and Phil. Federation of Professional Assns.

 

He is a recipient of the 1993 Philippine President’s award for his paper on the telemetering of hydroelectric power plants in the Philippines. In 1999, based on his achievements, he was conferred as Fellow by PSAE, now the Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers or PSABE.

 

In 2021, he retired at the rank of Full Professor III from Visayas State University. The author has also served as Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the main campus of Mindanao State University, as Visiting Computer Consultant at the IIU, Malaysia, and as Trainor On-Call for Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand
