The Indoctrination of our education system

By Dennis AuBuchon

Our education system has become a means to indoctrinate students into a philosophy which appears to violate the mission of our education system.  In addition textbook content has changed and in some cases has changed the way various events have taken place in our history.

It has become more of a political correct philosophy rather than actually teaching the various subjects which in the past have been basic educational subjects.  In some cases subjects are not even taught as in the past.  One of these involves understanding our Constitution and the rights we have as individuals.  It should not be about changing the perception of how government should operated using what appears to be liberal philosophy.

Common sense and integrity needs to return to our education system across all levels of education and even the administrative aspects.  Too often it appears that individuals are assigned subjects that they have no experience or knowledge in the subject they are assigned.  It is true that the needs of society are different today than in years past and our education system needs to change to meet the needs of our economy in the future.  This does not mean changing from the traditional philosophy of education principles of the past to a more liberal philosophy.

We constantly hear about issues in our education system and decisions made by administrative personnel with regards what should be allowed based on the Constitution.  Administrative personnel according to reports have made decisions which are an overreaction to issues.  In some cases the decisions have been reversed simply for the fact they were wrong.  Common sense needs to be a part of any decision by administrative personnel which affect the operation of a school district.
