Next Stop Africa; bumpy ride to friendship

Hi, I'm Danae-Anne van Melsem Kocsis, 11 years old and I've written a book about friendship.


Initially this began for me as a school project when I lived in Scotland. My experiences of living abroad, homesickness, missing my best friends and learning to appreciate friendships are part of this book.


My children's book is a fictional story telling the tale of imaginary creatures, called "Pombles". The story begins with the two main characters, Kailzie and Kingussie, winning an award for recycling. From that moment their Bumpy Ride of Friendship begins.


I also wrote my book to support children across the globe, who have been travelling around the world or have been driven away from their homes and family as a result of war and or natural disasters.


With this book I hope to support those children showing them: you’re not alone !
