The Handbook for Integrity in the Department of Education

By Dennis AuBuchon

Our education is a critical segment of our society but it has been hijacked by the government and liberals who want to indoctrinate rather than teach the subjects needed for success in the workplace. The principles of integrity or at least the appearance seem to have disappeared from the system. The present level of government at least from the federal government needs to be reduced or eliminated.

The philosophy of common core and its philosophy and objectives are now understood and several states have now rejected this approach to preparing the leaders of tomorrow. Common core is not the only problem with our education system it also involves reduced local control of our schools. The principles of integrity are important to exist in our education system and without these principles students will lack the necessary tools they will need to succeed in the workplace.

The needs of our education system have changed from years past and it must adapt to the world as it is today. With the Internet and computer technology schools must provide the exposure to subjects to help students understand and be able to utilize the technology used by businesses today and the changes which will occur in the future. In addition basic subjects need to be taught which provides a history of our country and the rights we have as individuals. One important subject is learning about the Constitution as it is written not as it is interpreted by some liberals and in some cases our judicial system.

The subject of our history has changed from the past and it has become one of political correctness. Our country has experienced many events and changing the context or ignoring the facts why they occurred does not allow students understand from where we came from in our beginning to where we are now as a country. Events in our country has shaped who we are just as events in our lives has shaped who we are as individuals. Our education system today must instill integrity principles in the subjects it provides along with the content used to teach them.

The content of textbooks seems to be under the decision of a few individuals or companies and does not allow input through state legislatures and local schools as to what should be taught in various subjects. This needs to change. Schools should not be subject to the decisions of other states and to the content required for each of the subjects taught.
