If you have a collection of poems that you want to sell, either as an ebook or a physical book, it's very easy to do so using Payhip. You will retain full rights and control over your work. Simply create a free Payhip account, upload your poetry ebook file (or create a physical product listing instead), and set a price for your poetry. You can then sell it through your free Payhip store or direct from your website. Payhip will take a 5% transaction fee on each sale - much less than many other platforms like Amazon, which can take up to 70%.
As soon as you write down a poem, it's automatically copyright to you in many countries. That means no one can publish your poem without your permission, and no one can claim your poem is their own work. If you're concerned about copyright, consult your country's government website or check with a copyright lawyer in your country.
There is a market for poetry, but it's important to note that this is considerably smaller than the market for novels. Poetry is very much a niche market, and many poetry collections that sell well are either classic collections or academic anthologies. Even well-established poets don't sell in anything like the quantities of bestselling fiction authors.
