Alberta Meaux was born in Texas and inspired by the great art collections of the Hermitage and The American Museums, she started her artistic way since she was a child. Painting and drawing every single day in the The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, she learnt different techniques – pastel, watercolors, charcoal but the most interesting for the artist became the oil technique. Perfecting the oil technique Alberta works in different directions and genres – from realistic portraits and figures to impasto palette knife landscapes and abstracts.
