Alberta Meaux Art

Alberta Meaux was born in Texas and inspired by the great art collections of the Hermitage and The American Museums, she started her artistic way since she was a child. Painting and drawing every single day in the The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, she learnt different techniques – pastel, watercolors, charcoal but the most interesting for the artist became the oil technique.

Perfecting the oil technique Alberta works in different directions and genres – from realistic portraits and figures to impasto palette knife landscapes and abstracts. In order to share her knowledge Alberta makes video lessons which are available on her channel and teaches personally. One of the most interesting and popular online course is The Old Masters’ Technique where Alberta explains features and details of the painters from the past like Rembrandt which influencedAlberta Meaux' art very much.
