Author William D. Hawkins

“William D. Hawkins is a writer who kept most of his journal entries tucked away from public view. Personal challenges and victories became the overall theme of his poetry. However, he’s known among family and friends to have an enlighten spirit readily prepared to speak encouraging words at any moment.

As a youth, William wrote song lyrics for himself and his friends. This experience with rhythms and melodies can still be felt while reading his work. He often says, “My only wish is for my words to carry a heartbeat similar to the sounds heard from your favorite song.”

Today, William continues to create and share his poetry and short stories. With a renewed desire to motivate readers to listen to the voice of their own hearts. Promoting this quest is his loving wife Christal, their four children, two dogs, and their cat Rosie.”
