Easter Newsletter
Easter is coming in fast and is also a time of new beginnings. Spring is a time for growth and change, whether it's a physical change or a mental change. In this newsletter, I will be sharing the exciting activities I enjoy most during this time of year and hopefully, it will inspire you to try something new this Easter. So many new changes are approaching us such as the change in time, warmer weather, and even new opportunities that could arrive soon this spring. Let us focus on the second holiday of the year and celebrate it differently than what you usually spend it.
The first activity I do is eat Cadbury mini eggs which you can find at any of your local stores whether it be Walmart, Shoppers, or a nearby convenience store.
The third activity you probably do each year with your children is painting eggs and an egg hunt. I have done the same thing each year and realized that there is an easy and fun way to make it even more fun for your children. To start, purchase bunny costumes for your children give them a basket, and hide eggs in an area aside from your house or backyard, you can ask a neighbour or family member if they have any places they can recommend to hide eggs that won't be disturbed by anyone else and even have a cute picnic after they have found all of the hidden eggs. Some ideas of what you can pack for the picnic include sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, fried chicken, pasta, and watermelons.
Spring is the season of change, it can also be recognized as a time of growth and self-care. You can give yourself as well as your children this time to spend time relaxing and taking time to enjoy nature as well as enjoy the transition from winter to spring. I recommend taking the time to have more time outside while doing arts and crafts like painting more eggs for decoration or as a gift to neighbours, another good idea is to teach your children how important it is to throw garbage away properly while also keeping it engaging and fun for them. You can start with cleaning the garbage around your home and then move on to your neighbourhood while explaining the importance of recycling to your children. Remind them that the easter bunny as well as the earth will appreciate what they have done after they successfully helped to make your neighbourhood a bit cleaner.
What I do to make Easter enjoyable as a teen is going for walks and enjoying the sunshine as well as settling into the changes within myself and taking this time to prioritize the promises I made for the new year.
I want everyone to make this Easter a time of change and new beginnings, spend this time gathering around with loved ones and trying new things with your children. Hopefully, you try some of the ideas with your families and blossom new traditions this spring.
This year I will embrace the changes coming in 2023 and eat lots of mini eggs, spend time with my family while watching our favorite Easter movies, and spend time outside and lessening our carbon footprint. I hope everyone takes some time out of their day to help reduce their carbon footprint whether it be cleaning up trash around the house or neighborhood, not using as much technology, and walking around rather than driving.
Finally, this Easter is a time for new beginnings with your family, spend time eating Cadbury mini eggs, hunting for eggs with your children, having a picnic with family and friends, painting eggs to hide or give to loved ones, enjoying nature around you when going for walks and watch Easter themed movies to put you in the Easter mood. Most of all, stay safe this Easter season and have fun with your family.
