What the Akashic Records are
The Akashic Records are the Records of the Soul—a vast energetic library of every soul’s journey throughout time and space.
The Records aren’t physical records in that you can’t see them with your physical eyes. They are energetic records that reside in the fifth dimension which is the dimension of spirit and as such, they’re accessed intuitively by a trained Akashic Records reader.
The Records exist outside of time and space and don’t follow the linear time created by humans. Because of that, the information in the Records is timeless and it serves a human for all eternity (across multiple lifetimes).
However, the Records are sacred compilations of a soul’s experiences and are not to be disrespected with mindless curiosity.
How you know that you can trust the information in the Akashic Records

First, no one can access your Akashic Records without your express permission.
Second, the Records are presided over by the Lords of the Akashic Records. The Lords protect the integrity of the Records and ensure the accuracy of what’s being recorded.
The Lords are also responsible for determining who can and can’t access and read the Records.
They also decide what level of information is to be shared during each reading. Information that doesn’t serve a person can’t be accessed.
Only the information that is relevant to a person’s current issues or struggles is downloaded to the “reader” of the Records.
What you can ask about in the Akashic Records
You can ask about any area of your life such as purpose, career, money, soul’s gifts, love, relationships, marriage, parenting, health, specific obstacles/ challenges, etc.
Typically, people ask about the things that aren’t going well for them such as…
- the root cause of an issue or struggle
- how they can transform an issue or struggle
- how they can do something in a better way than they’re currently doing it
- their gifts and their purpose
- what’s getting in the way of attracting a love partner or creating a healthy body, etc.

The most useful questions to ask in the Akashic Records
There are no right or wrong questions; however, some types of questions yield more specific and elaborate answers than others.
For example, “yes/no” questions are not useful to ask because the Records are an actual resource full of lifetimes of information.
Asking open-ended questions and allowing the Masters and Teachers in your Records to elaborate and give you guidance is far more useful for you than asking “yes/no” questions.
Given that there’s no linear time in the Akashic Records, asking “time / when” questions isn’t helpful either.
For example, if you ask a question like “when will I find love?”, the answer wouldn’t be a specific timeframe. It would be more along the lines of: “when you heal your self-worth issues, learn to set and honour your boundaries, get comfortable being vulnerable, and start putting yourself out there.” These steps will take however long it takes you to get there, so “time” questions could lead to answers that may feel frustrating to you.
Something really important to understand is that the Masters and Teachers in your Records will help you weigh the pros and cons of different situations or options; however, they won’t make decisions for you. It’s up to you to take the information they give you and make a decision for yourself followed by real-world action.
What a person might experience when their soul’s Akashic Records are accessed

Some people have deep experiences while others have mild ones, and still others may experience nothing energetically.
However, in my experience with clients, usually the first thing that happens is an energetic shift. This energetic shift often creates an emotional response in the person being read for, which is then followed by an immense sense of peace.
