About Kevin Canter
I have a degree in Psychology and Theatre from the University of California, Riverside in Southern California. In my first career, I worked with kids in recreational settings at camps, parent-child programs, aquatics programs, and outdoor education for 14 years. I found myself going on trips with them that were 30 minutes to 6 hours away. To avoid the all too familiar question, “Are We There Yet?”, I needed to come up with ways to entertain them to help the time pass easier. Mobile devices were not really a thing back then, so there was more interaction that was needed. I decided to write down as many of the games and activities I did, added the ones I played as a kid, and created some new ones as well. It's designed as a resource tool for anyone working with youth, including parents, grandparents, teachers, youth pastors, babysitters, and of course…camp counselors. There are over 100 Low-cost to No-cost games, ideas and activities for all ages Kindergarten through adult.
