My First Storefront Window Painting Experience ✨

There’s something both exciting and terrifying about putting your artwork on display for the world to see — especially when it’s painted across the front windows of a real business.

For a long time, I practiced on my own windows at home and other art mediums, teaching myself through trial and error. I’ve always loved creating art, but stepping into window painting felt completely different. Bigger scale, different materials, learning lettering, figuring out spacing, dealing with sunlight and reflections, and trying not to panic while people watched me paint were all challenges.

As a self-taught artist, I’m learning as I go. This project became my very first storefront window painting, and honestly, it meant a lot to me. Seeing the design slowly come together on the glass was one of those moments where I realized maybe I really can do this.

I freehand my work completely by hand, which makes every project feel personal and unique. No tracing machines. No shortcuts. Just paint, creativity, and a willingness to keep practicing.

One thing I’ve already learned is that window painting is more than just making something look pretty. It helps businesses stand out, catches people’s attention, and creates something memorable for customers walking by. Art has a way of bringing life and personality into a space.

This is only the beginning of my journey with Carrie Sweet Art, but I’m excited to continue growing, improving, and sharing the process along the way.

Thank you to everyone supporting my artwork, watching my videos, sharing my posts, and encouraging me to keep creating. It truly means more than you know. I am excited to paint more windows!
