Mindfulness, meditation, and learning are always an opportunity to let go of our old, fixed ways of thinking and reorganize them to accommodate our desire for healing and growth. It also allows us to be in the present which promotes mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom.


We offer insightful worksheets on hundreds of topics, guided meditations, self-hypnosis, a meditation background video, as well as e-workshops and e-books covering the five dimensions of personal growth (mental, social, spiritual, emotional, and physical). We also provide free music for meditation as well as information.


Empowered Mindfulness was founded by Lynn Borenius Brown, EdD, LPC, CHt to provide a place for those who are interested in enhancing their lives by living mindfully. Lynn is a counselor, coach/teacher, and hypnotherapist who has worked with clients and students for 40+ years. She functions as a spiritual Buddhist and has helped many people heal, grow, and find inner peace

Personal Meditation Sessions

Dr. Lynn is available for personal meditation sessions. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Hypnotherapist, she is well-versed in guiding clients on their healing and growth paths. When you are interested in having a private session via video, email Lynn with your request. She will email you questions you will be answering and replying to before your scheduled session. At the start of the session, she will talk with you about your answers in order to gather the specific information she will use to guide you during the meditation. The more specific you are able to be regarding your request, the more beneficial the session. Email your request to: empoweredmindfulness@gmail.com

Each $120 session is an hour. Payment is made via Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or GooglePay just before your session starts.

Why Empowered Mindfulness?

Let’s start by defining each of the words. I will be using Merriam-Webster’s definition found online.


Empowered - “having the knowledge, confidence, means, or ability to do things or make decisions for oneself.”


Mindfulness - “the practice of maintaining a nonjudgmental state of heightened or complete awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis.”


To be empowered, you need to have attained the knowledge required to make decisions in your life. In addition, confidence is necessary. And, if you are empowered, to use your knowledge and confidence to make proactive choices in your life that allow this state of being to continue.  


Mindfulness encompasses the ability to be nonjudgmental while maintaining an awareness of what is going on at all times, both internally and externally.


The way I interpret this lets me know this is a state of being that is strived for by most of us, even if we aren't sure how and if we will attain it. To be aware of self and environment, without judgment of self and others, while maintaining the ability to make decisions and choices that best serve our healthy interests because our self-esteem enhances, rather than detracts, from this situation, requires that we have gained appropriate knowledge, earned confidence, and are able to use information in a manner that maintains a nonjudgmental attitude.


My desire in starting Empowered Mindfulness was to provide hundreds of opportunities for those visiting to acquire and maintain knowledge about self that will encourage the confidence to be self-aware and to make ongoing proactive decisions that will allow for a life that is the manifestation of empowered mindfulness.


Each of the topics offered is a small piece of a large puzzle that results in a comprehensive learning opportunity that helps to define how we live our day-to-day lives.
