Content Ideas don't equal sales.
Over the last couple of months, I've realized that a lot of people are tossing out content ideas and making it seem as though that's all you need to:
- Successfully drive traffic to your website
- Increase brand awareness, and
- Increase sales.
But here's what's up...
If all it took was amazing content ideas, there wouldn't be so many people giving out content ideas on a daily basis.
Every piece of content you put out must be backed by intention and strategy.
Your content strategy is created by the goals you have for your business. That means, if you can't say exactly why you posted a piece of content and how it helps you to achieve a business goal, it's not content that is backed by strategy.
For example, if you're launching a new product or service, and you need people to visit your landing page and sign up for your emails, all your content will be focused on getting traffic to the landing page.
The business goal here would be to generate leads or to assess the interest level of your target audience.
So if you have no problem coming up with ideas for content, if you're able to post multiple times per day or once a day every week, but you're not seeing it convert into more traffic, more sales, or growth.... YOU DON'T HAVE a content problem, you have a strategy problem.
So more content, more reels with trending sounds, and templates won't help.
Also, NEVER EVER copy someone's social media marketing strategy, we are all in different stages of business, and we all require our own unique strategy to be successful.
Hope this helps you to create some really amazing content that is 100% backed by strategy.
