About Me
Isie’s is a reflection of home and family. We do our best to welcome all our customers like family we want you to feel at home.
My love for baking came from my childhood. My grandmother (Isie, pronouned eye-cee) bless her heart could not bake cakes to save her life. She could bake other things though she made really good tea cakes and homemade biscuits. Just don’t eat her cakes or at least her “specialty” which was what we called a rainbow (Kool-Aid) cake. She made it all the time, but it was terrible.
There was a time I recall her calling the grandkids in because she had just finished making the rainbow cake. We were respectful and said thanks. Then we took it outside and fed it to the dogs. So, I made it my mission to make sure anything I made or baked tasted good.
So featured in my bakery are treats that are created with love and that I would give to my own family. Among those treats are my versions of some of my grandmother’s classics and family favorites.
If my family doesn’t like something, trust me, My family which is full of cooks, they will tell me. First and foremost, though I must love it even if it is something I don’t really care for. I’m not serving anything that I will not eat.
So that’s the reason my mission is to make sure everything touched is made with love and tastes good.
Our sweets taste homemade because they are. I hope that every time you try something you can taste that love in every bite.
