THE GOSPEL OF JOHN: THE WORD OF LIFE
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. "
The Word is the very same Word which came to Mary by the Angel Gabriel proclaiming the birth of the Messiah. [Luke 1:26-28] This Word was the very same Word which was with God before all time. Jesus said that He and the Father are one, whosoever has seen him has seen the Father. [John 14:8-9]
The Spirit revealed to me that hence the Word itself was God as stated on that verse in John 1:1.The Spirit also revealed to me that the only Son of God is God himself. Meaning, that same Word came from God and it is God himself, hence the Lord declared to us that the Son and the Father are one. [John 10:30]

"The same was in the beginning with God."
During the formation and the creation of all things the Word was continually existing with God even before everything was ever created. God said to the Word Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness (a spiritual personality and moral likeness) [Genesis 1:26]
This image and likeness of God is later made known to the world when Nicodemus came to Jesus by night to inquire of the Lord's teachings and the Lord declared the likeness of God and said That which is born of flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. [John 3:6]
The spirit revealed the everlasting existence of the Word through King Solomon after the reign of his father King David, The Chief Musician, in Proverbs: "Elohim (אְֶלֹהִים) possessed me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth was.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water, was I brought forth; while as yet He had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
When He established the heavens, I was there: when He set a circle upon the face of the deep, when He made firm the skies above, when He gave to the sea it's bound, that the waters should not transgress his commandment, when he marked out the foundation of the earth; then I was by him, as a master workman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him, Rejoicing in his habitable earth; and my delight was with the sons of men." [Proverbs 8:22-31]

"All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made."
Through the Word God made everything in this world come into existence. This is also confirmed by the Spirit through King Solomon when he declared that "Elohim (אְֶלֹהִים) by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens. By His knowledge the depths were broken up, and the skies drop down dew." [Proverbs 3:19-20]
The same revelation is later confirmed by Apostle Paul for our own sake to comprehend and believe the mighty works of God, by the Lord Christ Jesus, in his letter to the Colossians: "In whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of all creation; For in Him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through Him, and unto Him; for He is before all things, and in Him all things consist." [Colossians 1:14-17]
The very same truth was bestowed upon King David during his thanksgiving unto the LORD in Psalms 136 when he declared "To Him that by understanding made the heavens; for his lovingkindness endureth for ever; To Him that spread forth the earth above the waters; for His lovingkindness endureth for ever; To Him that made great lights; for His lovingkindness endureth for ever; the sun to rule by day; for His lovingkindness endureth for ever; the moon and stars to rule by night; for His lovingkindness endureth for ever:" [Psalms 136:5-9]
Everything came into existence by the Word for Him and by Him for He created everything visible and invisible, which includes everybody in this world, for the scripture says "But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And Elohim (אְֶלֹהִים) God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." [Genesis 2:6-7]
This very same truth has been also proclaimed by King David, the chief musician in his Psalm "The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods." [Psalms 24:1-2]

"In him was life; and the life was the light of men."
Later in the book of John Jesus made known to us the eternal promise we are to receive in Him in chapter 10 stating "The thief came not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life have it abundantly." [John 10:10]
And this is the promise which He promised us, even the life eternal. [1 John 2:25]
And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. [1 John 5:11]
The promise of the Lord unto us God made it known unto all men since sin first entered the world in the Garden of Eden, and this promise has been declared unto the world by the Prophets of The LORD even before the birth of the Messiah. Prophet Isaiah declared this promise in chapter 55 "Incline your ears, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live, even the same mercies of David." [Isaiah 55:3]
Apostle Peter later also affirmed the promise God gave unto man in his second letter "Whereby He hath granted unto us His precious and exceeding great promise; that through these ye may become partakers of the Devine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust." [2 Peter 1:4]
As this great promise has been given to us, However it is of outmost importance that we be vigilant in our ways in this world corrupted by lust and darkness. Apostle Paul's letter to the church in Ephesians also warns that "This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts; who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to walk all uncleanness with greediness." [Ephesians 4:17-19]
"For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace." [Romans 8:6] For the law of the Spirit of Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. [Romans 8:2] "For if ye live after the flesh, ye must die, but if by the Spirit ye put to death the desires of the body, ye shall live." [Romans 8:13]
As many people ask about those who are sleeping (dead), Apostle Paul answered all these relevant questions in his first letter to the Thessalonians church, "But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, That we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise preceded them that are fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." [1 Thessalonians 4:13-17]
The manifestation of our great promise was also seen by John in his vision and the revelation the Lord gave him, "And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of the river and on that was the Tree of Life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding it's fruit every month: and the leaves of the Tree were for healing if the nation's." [Revelation 22:1-2]
Let us also be reminded that the life was the light of men. "For ye were once in darkness, but now light in the Lord: walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord; and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;". [Ephesians 5:8-11]
"Wherefore He saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee." [Ephesians 5:14] That ye may become blameless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world, holding forth the word of life; that I may have whereof to glory in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain neither labor in vain. [Philippians 2:15-16]
King David, The Chief Musician, also declared that "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path." [Psalms 119:105] Seeing it is God, that said, light shall shine out if darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. [2 Corinthians 4:6]
This is the declaration of the great promise of the Lord our God which have been made known unto men from the beginning of time and of which I also declare by the Spirit of the living God Almighty "And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce unto you that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie, and Do Not The Truth." [1 John 1:5-6]

"And the light sheineth in the darkness; and darkness apprehended it not."
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. [Isaiah 9:2] For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government shall be upon His shoulders: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting FATHER, Prince of Peace. [Isaiah 9:6]
I The LORD, have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thy hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant if the people, For a light of the gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison-house. [Isaiah 42:6-7]
And The LORD, God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because He hath compassion on His people, and on His dwelling-place: But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of The LORD arose against His people, till there was no remedy. [2 Chronicles 36:15-16]
They are waxed fat, they shine: yea, they overpass in deeds of wickedness; they plead not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. [Jeremiah 5:28] For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD; That say to the seers, see not; and to the prophets, prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits, get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. [Isaiah 30:9-11]
And they that fed them fled, and went away unto the city, and told everything, and what was befallen to them that were possessed with demons. And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw Him, they besought Him that He would depart from their borders. [Matthew 8:33-34]
And it came to pass on one of those days, that He was teaching; and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and Jerusalem: And the power of the LORD was with Him to heal. And behold, men bring on a bed a man that was palsied: and they sought to bring him in, and to lay him before Him. And not finding by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his couch into the midst before Jesus. And seeing their faith, He said, man thy sins are forgiven thee.
And the Scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But Jesus perceiving their reasonings, answered and said unto them, why reason ye in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, arise and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority on earth to forgive sins( He said unto him that was palsied), I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go unto thy house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his house, glorifying God! [Luke 5:17-25]
And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute-players, and the crowd making a tumult, He said, give place: for the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed Him to scorn. But when the crowd was put forth, He entered in, and took her by the hand; and the damsel arose. [Matthew 9:23-25]
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you; yea and before governors and Kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the gentiles. But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak. For it it not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your FATHER that speaketh in you. And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be out to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next: for verily I say unto you, ye shall not have gone through the cities if Israel, till the Son of Man be come. A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his Lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his his Lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household!. [Matthew 10-16-25]
And as they spake unto the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, being sore troubled because they taught the people, and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in ward unto the morrow: for it was now eventide. [Act 4:1-3]
And when they had set them in the midst, they inquired, by what power, or in what name, have ye done this? But Peter filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them, ye ruler's of the people, and elders, if we this day are examined concerning a good deed done to an important man, by what means this man is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth this man stand here whole. He is the stone which was set at the nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner. And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. [Act 4:7-12]
And there also came together the multitude from the cities round about Jerusalem, bringing sick folk, and them that were vaxed with unclean spirit: and they were healed every one. But the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him (which is the sact of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy, and laid hands on the Apostles, and put them in public ward. [Act 5:16-18]
Saying, we strictly charged you not to teach in this name: and behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this Man's blood upon us. But Peter and the Apostles answered and said, we must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree. Him did God exalt with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God hath given them that obey Him. But they, when they heard this, were cut to the heart, and were mindes to slay them. [Act 5:28-33]
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the Apostles unto them, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor fir the name. [Act 5:40-41]
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your father's did, so do ye. Which of the prophets did not your father's persecute? And they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers; [Act 7:51-52]
And said, behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God. Bit they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord; and they cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. And they stoned Stephan, calling upon the Lord, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. [Act 7:56-59] But Saul laid waste the church, entering into every house, and dragging men and women committed them to prison. [Act 8:3]
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, he hath a demon. The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, behold, a gluttonous man and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! And wisdom is justified by her works. [Matthew 11:18-19]
And when He was come into the temple, the chief priest and the elders of the people came unto Him as He was teaching, and said by what authority doest thou these thing's? And who gave thee this authority? And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one question, which if ye tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, whence was it? From heaven or from men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, if we shall say, from heaven; He will say unto us, why then did ye not believe Him? But if we shall say, from men; we fear the multitude; for all hold John as a prophet. And they answered Jesus, and said, we know not. He also said unto them, neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. [Matthew 21:23-27]
They gathered together the chief priests, and the elders of the people, unto the court of the high priest , who was called Caiaphas; and they took counsel together that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill Him. But they said ,not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people. [Matthew 26:3-5]
Why do the nations rage, and the people meditate a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together ,against the LORD, and against His Anointed, saying, let us break their bonds asunder, and cast away their cords from us. [Psalm 2:1-3]
In that hour said Jesus to the multitude, are ye come out as against a robber with sword s ad staves to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and ye took me not. [Matthew 26:55]
From the prophesies made centuries before the birth of Christ, to the it's fulfillment by both the Messiah and of the Apostles, the light of the FATHER continued not to be comprehended by darkness. It it therefore by grace, mercy and the love of the FATHER, The Son, and The Holy Spirit that the truth has shinned upon our hearts and we were made able to understand it.
