Overcoming Judgemental Mindset

Overcoming Judgemental Mindset

Welcome everyone. I greet you all in the name of Jesus. I greet all the saints across the world, the people of the living God, and everyone who believe in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. May the peace of the Father and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. We're going to look at overcoming the judgmental mindset. how to overcome the the judgmental mindset. We're going to look at the commandments that the Lord gave, the sovereign will of the Father and how humility can help you in this regard. So, we're going to start with the first verse. The first verse is Matthew 7:1. Judge not that you be not judged. This is the the sermon on the mount that the Lord gave. Matthew 7:1, judge not that you be not judged. I think it's important to outline that the verse doesn't disregard the discernment, the gift of the spirit to discern between good and evil. Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Corinth, the first letter he sent to the church in Corinth,

there was an issue in the church about sexual immorality. I think this is in chapter 5. And

he urged the church that let the evil person be rooted out from among you. Are you not allowed or able to judge one another? He was more rooted in discernment. Are you not able to discern between good and evil amongst yourselves?

Let the evil person be rooted out from among you. Of course, this you have to do it in love and in truth. In chapter

six of his letter to the church in Corinth,

he also enlightened us that don't you know that the people of God will one day judge the world?. So it's better if you have the gift of the spirit to discern between good and evil. The Lord said, "Judge not that you be not judged." So, Apostle Paul encouraged us to discern between good and evil in his letter to the church in Corinth. That's 1 Corinthians chapter 5 and chapter 6. Uh the Lord also said in John chapter 7:24, judge righteously.

Do not judge by appearance by observe.. observation but judge righteously.

You don't want to look at a person,

perceive their weakness

and then rush to judge that person. You

have to discern and whatever you do, do it in love, in obedience, in kindness and in truth. you can't outline someone else's sin while you have your own sins to work on. So Matthew 7:1, judge not that you be not judged. Do not judge by appearance. Judge righteously. Oh, this is what the Lord said. Judge righteously. Don't just look at the outer world and rush to be a judge. If

somebody falls, do it in love. Remember what the Lord said also. He said that don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. So you want to do it in love.

Be merciful. Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

And judge not, and you shall not be judged. Oh, and condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Oh, release, and ye shall be released. Give and it shall be given unto you. Good measure pressed down, shaken together, running over shall they give into your bosom.

For with what measure you mete,

it shall be measured to you again. This is Luke chapter 6 verse 36-38.

Be

careful what you pass on to another man to another fellow man thy neighbor be careful. He said be ye merciful even as your father is merciful and judge not and you shall not be judged. Oh, and condemn not and you shall not be condemned. Release and ye shall be released. Give and it shall be given unto you. Good measure pressed down, shaken together, running over shall they give into your bosom. Oh, give and it shall be given unto you. Whatever measure you use, for with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you Again, Luke 6:36-38. Blessed are the merciful. Now, we.. this is the focus on the commandment to not judge. Be mindful here. These are very important verses to consider and to meditate upon. Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew chapter 5:7 The Lord's prayer or when the Lord taught us a prayer how to pray to God to our Father in heaven. He said..he outlined some important commandments there.

and forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. Matthew 6:12, forgive us our sins as we also forgive those who sin against us.

So you are saying to God that have mercy on me in the same way that I have mercy on my fellow man. Oh. Oh. Be

mindful here. For with what measure you mete,

it shall be measured to you again. Oh,

and forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. Matthew 6:12. Be ye also patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Murmur not, brethren, one against another, that you be not judged. Oh, behold the judge stand before the doors. That's James 5 8-9.

Murmur not brethren, one against another. Do not render evil for evil. Apostle James reinforces the warning here. Murmur not brethren one against another that you be not judged. Behold the just stand before the doors. James 5 8-9.

Who are thou that judges the servant of another? Who are you to pass judgment to another fellow man?

to his own Lord he stands or falls. This is Romans chapter 14:4. But thou why thou judge thy brother when thou or thou again why thou set at nought thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God. Oh, for it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, to me," oh, this is God himself, to me every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess to God. So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God. Oh, be mindful here. Even in your discernment, you have to be mindful here at the m end you're going to give account of your own self.

For with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you. Again,

be mindful. Let us not therefore judge one another anymore, but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother's way or an occasion of falling. This is Romans chapter 14 verse 10-13. Now, now this is the discernment that Apostle Paul outlines here. But judge ye this rather that no man put a stumbling block in his brother's way or an occasion of falling. Love one another. care for each other.

Speak not one against another, brethren. He that speaks against a brother or judges his brother speaks against the law and judges the law. Oh, but if thou judges the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. Who are you? Who art thou that judges the servant of another? But if thou judges the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. One only is the lawgiver and judge, even He who is able to save and to destroy. Oh, but who are thou that judges thy neighbor? James 4 11 to 12. Who are you that judge A servant of another.. someone else's? a servant of another.

servant of another Lord. Who are you? You have to be mindful every time

you are doing a discernment or you are discerning between good and evil. You have to be mindful always remember for with what measure you mate

it shall be measured to you again.

Now let's look at the

the sovereign will of our Father.

Uh remember that only one is the lawgiver and judge. Even He who is able to save and destroy. But who art thou that judges thy neighbor? This is in James 4 11 to 12.

But in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand. Now, God was speaking to Pharaoh here to show thee my power and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth as yet exalt thou thyself against my people. Oh, that thou will not let them go? This is in Exodus 9:16-17. Pharaoh thought he was a judge of the people of God.

In arrogance,

he thought he could stop the fulfillment of the promise of the Lord. Oh,

but God let him know that I made thee. Oh Lord, for this very reason, for this very purpose, have I made thee to stand. Oh, it's by my power that you are here right now. Oh, why make thyself a judge over my own people, Israel? Who made you a judge over my people? Oh,

you exalt yourself in arrogance. Remember God sent a message to Pharaoh time, time and a time again. Let my people go. But in arrogance, Pharaoh refused to hear the word of the Lord.

He thought he was a judge of Israel.

They've been inflicted for over 400 years

now. It was time that God fulfill his promise unto Israel.

But Pharaoh thought he was a judge over the people of God.

Now, now God was letting him know that it is by my own will and my power that you stand right here. For this very same reason, this very same purpose have I made thee to stand. Who are you to exalt yourself in arrogance against my people? Exodus chapter 9 16-17.

Thou will say then unto me, why does He still find fault? For who withstand His will? Oh, but no. Oh man, who are thou that replies against God? Who

are you? Who do you think you are? Oh, God made you. Oh. Oh, man. Oh,

thou will say then unto me, why does He still find fault? For who withstands His will? But nay, oh man, who art thou that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why did thou make me thus?

You are just a clay. Know your part. Know Your lane.

Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why did thou make me thus?

or hast not the potter a right over the clay? Oh, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor. Who are you, oh man, to reply against God?

He made thee

for His own sovereign will, His own power that you know nothing about. Humble yourself. What if God willing to show His wrath and to make His power known endured with much long suffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction? And that He might make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy. Who are you, oh man, to reply against God?

And that He might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which He afore prepared unto glory, even us whom He also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles. Stick to your lane

and understand that it's not by your own will that you are here. You know nothing about yourself.

Only God put you here for his own will and his own purpose. Humble yourself.

You didn't know you was going to be here at this point in time.

It's by His grace and His will for His own purpose that you are here.

Humble yourself.

In verse 25, Apostle Paul quotes prophet Hosea in chapter 2:23 which state I will call that my people which was not my people. Uh and her beloved that was not beloved. And it shall be that in the place where it was said unto them, you are not my people. Oh, there shall they be called sons of the living God. This is in Romans chapter 9 verse 19- 26 by His own sovereign will His own power. Oh, he declares there, shall they be called sons of the living God.

Oh now I love what the Apostle Paul says here. What if God willing to show His wrath and to make His power known endured with much long suffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction, and that He might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy,

which He afore prepared unto glory. Oh, even us whom He also called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles, there shall they be called sons of the living God. And it shall be that in the place where it was said unto them, you are not my people, oh God declares, there shall they be called sons of the living God. Romans chapter 9 verse 19 to 26.

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. The sovereign will of our Father, the gracious King, our merciful God.

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians chapter 2:13

Humble yourself.

Adonai has made everything for its own end. Yes, even the wicked for the day of evil. He has made everything for its own end. Even the wicked for the day of evil. Proverbs 16:4. Be careful in your discernment.

Rush not to pass judgment on anyone. You are not the lawgiver,

There's only one lawgiver and a judge and and we are not Him.

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

I have made the earth. This is God speaking. I have made the earth and created man upon it. I,

even my hands have stretched out the heavens and all their host have I commanded. Oh, He said this in Isaiah chapter 45:12. He made all things, all things stand because of His sovereign will and His power for His own purpose.

Be be humble. Now we are on the humility part of

this revelation. How to overcome judgmental mindset. We looked at the commandments given not to judge for we are not a judge. However, we are encouraged to pass discernment, but we must do it in love and humility and truth and not pass discernment

by observation, don't judge by out outward appearance. Judge righteously.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time. 1 Peter 5:6. Be humble. Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD. Though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Proverbs 16:5,

"For by grace have you been saved through faith." By grace have you been saved through faith. And that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Be be humble. It is the gift of God, not of works, that no man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,

which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.

Be humble. Humble yourself. you didn't make yourself righteous. If you are righteous, be humble. Be grateful to God, to the LORD of hosts and and to the grace in Christ Jesus. Be humble for by grace have you been saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, that no man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,

which God prepared that we should walk in them. Wherefore remember that once ye the Gentiles in the flesh who are called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision in the flesh made by hands

that you were at that time separate from Christ,

uh, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenant of the promise.

having no hope and without God in the world. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 to 12 remember where God took you from before you

pass on judgment. You didn't make yourself righteous. You didn't justify your own self.

No, nor, Sanctify your own soul.

Humble yourself

that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenant of the promise. having no hope and without God in the world. But God loved us. God loved us

that in the place where it was said unto them, you are not my people, there shall they be called sons of the living God. Oh the grace of the Father.

Thou will say then branches were broken off that I might be grafted in. Well, by their unbelief they were broken off and thou stands by faith.

Thou stands by thy faith. Be not high minded. Oh. Oh. This is the warning now. Be not higher minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, neither will He spare thee.

Be humble. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

Behold then the goodness and severity of God toward them that fell severity, but toward thee God's goodness. If thou continue in His goodness, otherwise thou also shall be cut off.

And they also, oh I love it here, the sovereign will of God. And they also if they continue not in their unbelief shall be grafted in for God is able to graft them in again. Oh, Romans 11 20-23.

be mindful. He is able to graft them in again. Don't be high minded now. Now that you are being called sons of the living God that you look down upon the natural branches which supports you, actually,

you are not the root! uh. now this is the parable

that truly encourage humility if you comprehend it,

if the Spirit reveal the revelation here it will truly transform you. Two men went up into the temple to pray. The one a Pharisee and the other a Publican.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself. God, I thank thee that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners,

unjust, adulterers, or even as the publican. Even as this publican! I fast twice in the week I give tithe of all that I get.

But the publican stand afar off will not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven.

the publican couldn't even lift up his eyes unto heaven but smote his breast saying God oh be thou merciful to me a sinner oh Luke 18:10-14 I say unto you this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. The publican went down to his house justified rather than the Pharisee. For everyone that exalts himself shall he be humbled, but he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Luke 18:10-14. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and he shall exalt you. James chapter 4 10.

These verses will help you overcome the judgmental mindset if you meditate upon them. The commandment not to judge so that we may not be judged.

the sovereign will of the Father when

He made it known to Pharaoh that it is by my own will, my own power, and for my own purpose that you stand here now.

Why be ye arrogant against my people? Oh, you, you think you are a judge over Israel?. I say let go of my people. But in arrogance, Pharaoh hardened his heart

and be minded or

be mindful to be humble. Humble yourself under the mighty God

and He shall exalt thee in due time. Humble yourself under His mighty hand, He shall exalt you.
