Thus Saith The LORD - A Call To Repentance
Welcome everybody. I greet you all in the mighty name of Jesus. I greet all
the saints across the world, all the people of the living God and everyone
who believes in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. We're going to look at repentance.
I am led to talk about repentance to encourage repentance cuz the
sooner you realize that the world actually envies your righteousness. It envies your
holiness. So the sooner you realize, the sooner you hold firm to the sound doctrine.
We're going to look at the verse in Exodus when God descended unto Mount Sinai to prove
to the children of Israel that I AM He. I AM your LORD your God.
This is in chapter 19 of Exodus starting from verse 9. when God commanded Moses
that assemble the children of Israel, I'm going to come down to Mount Sinai
to prove to them that I AM God thy God and I live forever more.
And all the people perceived the thunderings and the lightnings and the voice of the trumpet
and the mountain smoking. And when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. And
they said unto Moses, "Speak thou with us, and we will hear" in obedience they
called unto Moses that "you speak with us and we will obey, We will listen to you."
We've been stubborn, Yes, we agree. But please speak thou with us, and we will listen.
But let not God speak with us, lest we die. God came to Mount
Sinai to talk with the children of Israel, that behold, I AM here. Oh,
I came to you to speak to you to prove to you that I AM the Lord thy God and live forever more. And when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, "Speak thou with us, and we will hear. But let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, "Fear not, for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that you sin not." He came to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, and that you sin not. This is Exodus 20 18-20.
God came to Mount Sinai. He descended from heaven to prove to the children of Israel that I live forever more. Oh!.. I AM your creator. I came here to prove to you that I AM He. And when the people saw it, they trembled. Oh, they didn't see God before. The only person who saw God was Moses. Even he was afraid and trembled at the presence of the LORD.
So when the children of Israel
saw the living God came unto Mount Sinai and they trembled and stood afar off
and they pleaded to Moses, please you, you speak with us, this time we will
hear you. We will obey but let not God speak with us lest we die. Oh,
this is Exodus chapter 20 verse 18 to 20. Adonai, thy God will raise up unto thee a
prophet from the midst of thee, a prophet from the midst of thee of thy brethren.
Adonai thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee of
thy brethren like unto me. This is Moses speaking to the children of Israel. Unto
him ye shall hearken according to all that thou desireth of Adonai thy God in Horeb.
This is when in Mount Sinai in the day of the assembly saying, "Let me not hear again the
voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see the great fire anymore that I die not."
This is Moses reminding the children of Israel that remember what
you said in Mount Sinai when God descended to prove to you that He lives forever more.
Adonai thy God would raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee of thy brethren
like unto me. unto him ye shall hearken according to all that thou desireest of Adonai thy God in
Horeb in the day of assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God,
neither let me see the great fire anymore, that I die not. Adonai said unto me, they have well
said that which they have spoken. I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren. Oh,
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren. Oh, like unto thee. Now,
now God, God is telling Moses that because they have asked me this very thing,
this noble thing they have spoken, I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren like
unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth. Oh, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall
command him. Oh, and it shall come to pass that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which
he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. This is Deuteronomy 18 verse 15-19.
God is telling Moses that I will raise the prophet from among your brethren like unto thee.
I will put my words in his mouth and whosoever disobeys my word I shall require it of him. God
is saying that there shall be consequences for disobeying the word of that prophet.

and Adonai said unto me, they have well said that which that they have spoken.
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren like unto thee,
and I will put my words in his mouth. and he shall speak unto them all that I
shall command him. And it shall come to pass that whosoever will not hecken unto my words
which he shall speak in my name. Oh, I will require it of him. Deuteronomy 18:15 to 19.
God is being clear here
that who whosoever disobeys my word that came in my name by the prophet which I
raised from among you I will require it of him. That, there shall be consequences. Oh,
and when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, there was an
uproar in Jerusalem, saying, "Who is this?" And the multitude said,
"This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee." Wow.
The LORD said to Moses, "I will raise them up a prophet from among thee."
And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, "Who is this?"
And the multitude said, "This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee." Matthew 21
10-11. They've been waiting for centuries for this prophet. Now God finally fulfilled
his promise unto the children of Israel. that remember what you said in Mount Sinai
You were terrified and trembled upon my presence. You asked Moses
that please you speak with us and we will listen. We will obey to your word.
Now, now God heard them and said, "You asked of me a noble thing. For this reason,
I will raise you up a prophet from among you. I will raise you up a prophet like Moses."
But that prophet, oh shall say each and everything that I command him to say.
And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred. Oh,
the there was an uproar in Jerusalem when Jesus came and they were saying,
"Who is this?" Oh, they have never seen a man like him before. Who is this? And the
multitude said, "This is the prophet. This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee.
Matthew 21:10-11.
And it came to pass as he was praying apart, the disciples were with him,
and he asked them, saying, "Who do the multitude say that I am?
Who do the people say that I am? This is Jesus asking the disciples.
And they answering said, "John the Baptist." But others say "Elijah" and others that "one of
the old prophet is risen again". Others thought it was Moses. I believe
here others thought it was Moses because they say that one of the old prophets is
risen again. God said, "I will raise them up a prophet like unto thee." Oh,
now Jesus was asking the disciples here,
who do people think that I am? Who do the multitudes say that I am?
And the disciples said, they say John the Baptist, but others say you are Elijah
and others that one of the old prophets is risen again.
Be mindful here. The people... this is
the reflection that the people understood the resurrection.
They understood the resurrection for they said one of the old prophet is risen again.
And he said unto them, "But who say ye that I am? Now that you are with me, you've been with me all
this time. Now I'm asking you, this is Jesus here talking to the disciples. I'm asking you, who do
you think or who do you say that I am?" And Cephas answering said, "The Christ of God." Mhm.
Luke 19 Luke 9 verse 18-20
Cephas said you are the Christ you are the Messiah the son of God
wow Jesus said therefore unto the 12 will ye also go away ? Peter answered him Lord, Oh,
to whom shall we go? Thou has the words of eternal life. And we have believed and
know that thou are the holy one of God. Oh, "I will raise them up a prophet from among them."
Peter is saying to Jesus, people, this is after people, when people
got offended of the truth. They got offended by the truth.
And now Jesus was asking the 12 disciples when people was busy leaving one by one.
So he was asking them will you also go away?
Cephas answered him, "Lord, to whom, oh Jesus, to whom shall we go?
Thou has the words of eternal life, and we have believed and know that thou art the
holy one of God." This is John 6 verse 67-69. Where will we go?
If we leave you, we are clinging on to death. Where will we go,
Lord? To whom shall we go? For thou has the words of eternal life,
the word of God. God said, "I will I will put my words into his mouth,
and he shall say everything that I command him."
The multitude said, "This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee."
He was proclaiming the truth,
the word of God. Now when people got offended by the truth,
they left him one by one. Now the Lord was asking the disciples, "Will ye also go away?"
But Peter, oh he answered him and said, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou has the words of
eternal life. You have the words of God. Where will we go? To whom shall we go?"
And we have believed and know that thou art the holy one of God. John 6 67-69.
Moses indeed said, "A prophet shall the LORD God raise up unto you from among your brethren,
like unto me. To him shall you hearken in all things. Whatsoever
he shall speak unto you. Whatsoever he says, you shall listen to that prophet.
And it shall be that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet
shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. Oh,
God said to Moses that, whosoever disobeys that prophet, I shall require it of him.
Now here Peter
he's making it clear enough for everyone to know, for the people
of Jerusalem to know that it shall be that every soul that shall not hearken to that
prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. This is in Acts 3:22-23.
Now, we all know, the whole world know
that this is the prophet. This is Jesus of Nazareth of Galilee.
This is the prophet Jesus. Now we all know that it shall be that every soul
that shall not hearken to that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
You have to be mindful here. The warning here it's very alarming.
We have been given another chance to live.
Therefore, thus says the LORD God, behold,
I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of sure foundation.
He that believes shall not be in haste.
This is Isaiah 28:16.

Isaiah 28:16. For behold, Adonai comes forth out of His place to punish the
inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.
The earth also shall disclose her blood and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:21.
It shall be that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet shall be
utterly destroyed from among the people.
Now the LORD is making it known again to us by prophet Isaiah.
For behold, Adonai comes forth out of His place
to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.
The earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:21.
Who will render to every man according to his works, to them that by patience in welloing
seek for glory and honor, and incorruption, eternal life. But unto them that are factious,
and obey not the truth, obey not the words of the prophet, the words of God,
which he put in the mouth of the prophet. But unto them that are factious and obey not the truth,
but obey unrighteousness shall be rough and indignation, tribulation
and anguish upon every soul of man that works evil of the Jews first and also of the Greek.
But glory and honor and peace to every man that works good
to the Jews first and also to the Greek. This is Romans chapter 2:6-10.
But glory and honor and peace to everyone that works good. God doesn't come to punish only,
but there's an honor and a glory and peace and life
everlasting here to those who obey the words of the prophet.
Now, this is the part that encourages repentance.
God came to Mount Sinai to prove to the children of Israel that I Am the
LORD your God I live forever more. And they trembled when they heard the voice of the LORD.
Fear overtook them and they pleaded to Moses that
you speak with us and then we will listen.
Let not God speak with us lest we die. And
Moses encouraged them that fear not for God came to prove you.
So that you may not doubt the word of the LORD. He came to Mount Sinai and they pleaded
please don't let God speak with us. We we see the presence of the LORD. We hear Him. Oh,
we will now listen to you. We will now obey
Now, God heard them
and said, "I will raise you up a prophet from among you like unto Moses." Him
shall you listen and obey, for he shall speak each and every word that I put in his mouth
in the name of the LORD, That prophet shall speak each and every word that
comes from God. Him shall you listen. And whosoever disobeys the word of that prophet
shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. From that time began Jesus to preach and to say,
"Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven, it's at hand." Matthew 4:17. From that time began
Jesus to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven, it's at hand."
Remember the uproar in Jerusalem.
People were confused asking themselves who is this man that causing uproar in Jerusalem?
But the the multitude said, "This is the prophet." Oh,
this is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee.
The prophet that we've been waiting for, for centuries,
This is he. This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee.
From that time began Jesus to preach and to say repent ye
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17
But I say walk by the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the
flesh lust against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. For this are contrary the
one to the other. that you may not do the things that you would. Oh, Galatians 5:16-17.
For this are contrary, the one to the other,
what the flesh lust after is not what the spirit requires of you. Oh,
for this are contrary the one to the other that you may not
do the things that you would. Galatians 5:16-17.
Having therefore this promise, beloved,
let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of the flesh and spirit.
perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Having therefore this promise, beloved, the precious promise of eternal life.

But fornication and all uncleanness and covetousness,
let it not even be named among you. As becometh saints. Nor filthiness,
nor foolish talking or justing which are not benefiting or which are not befitting but rather
giving of thanks. which are not appropriate for a saint but rather giving of thanks.
For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, no unclean person,
no covetous man who is an idolator has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ
and God. There's a promise at stake here. Oh, be mindful.
Don't be deceived by the works of the world. There's a precious promise
at stake here. Let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit.
Let no man deceive you with empty words. Oh, for because of these things comes the wrath of God
upon the sons of disobedience. Oh, because of these things comes the wrath of God upon
the sons of disobedience. God said, "Whosoever disobeys that prophet, I shall require it of him."
Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of these things comes the wrath
of God upon the sons of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. Flee...
run away from those things.
For because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For you were once darkness but
are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:3-8.
Do not be partakers with them. Do not align yourself with
disobedience. Do not associate yourself with disobedience. For God made it clear
that whosoever disobeys the word from that prophet, I shall require it of him.
the multitude said this is the prophet, this is the prophet Jesus of Nazareth of Galilee.
They waited centuries for the fulfillment of the prophecy.
Now, we are being warned here that be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Do not associate yourself with disobedience
rather fear God. Oh,
for a friend of the world, it's an enemy of God.
So rather fear God.
Be not ye, therefore partakers with them, for you were once darkness,
but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
Ephesians chapter 5 3-8. Be not deceived. Oh, God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man sows,
that shall he also reap. Be not deceived. Oh, be careful here. This is a warning now. Be
not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that
sows unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that sows unto the spirit shall
of the spirit reap eternal life. Galatians chapter 6 verse 7 to 8. Be not deceived. Don't m let
any man deceive you with empty words. God is not mocked. He said it plainly that whosoever disobeys
that prophet I shall require it of him, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
It's been more than 2,000 years now.
The LORD has been patient calling us to repentance.
The prophet has spoken the words of the LORD.
Be not deceived. Be not deceived.
God is not mocked.
For whatsoever a man sows,
that shall he also reap. For he that sows unto his own flesh shall
of the flesh reap corruption. But he that sows unto the spirit shall of the spirit reap
eternal life. Galatians 6:7 to 8. He that loves me not keeps not my words. And the
word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me. Now the prophet,
the prophet is making it known to the whole world that I didn't send myself here. I've
been sent, I've been summoned, I've been commanded by the Holy One of Israel to proclaim the truth.
He that loves me not keeps not my words.
And the words which you hear, it's not mine, but the Father's who sent me. John 14:24.
Jesus is telling us that if this was my words then I would understand
or rather I could understand but this words are not mine but the Father's who sent me.
I didn't come here to do my own will. I've been sent here to proclaim the word of the LORD.
God said, "I shall put my word into his mouth and he shall
speak whatever I command him to speak."
Now Jesus, he's letting us know that these words are not mine,
but the Father's who sent me. John 14:24.
Jesus therefore answered them and said, "My teaching is not mine,
but He's that sent me. If any man will to do His will,
he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from myself."
He's saying, "You can test me. It's okay. I'm
fine with it because I don't proclaim my own words here.
He said, "If any man wills to do His will," this is the will of the LORD, the will of the Father,
"he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from myself."
Jesus says, "Judge for yourself."
Cuz this words that I'm proclaiming here,
they are not mine. I've been sent here to proclaim this truth.
Jesus therefore answered them and said, "My teaching is not mine,
but He's that sent me. If any man will to do His will, he shall know of the teaching,
whether it is of God or whether I speak from myself. John 7:16-17.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, a servant is not greater than his Lord. Neither one
that sent greater than He that sent him. Oh, if you know these things,
blessed are you if you do them. "Whosoever disobeys that prophet, I shall require it of him."
Now, Jesus, he is telling us here that blessed are you if you
do these things because these words are not mine. I didn't come here to do my
own will. I've been sent here. I've been commanded to speak the truth.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, a servant is not greater than his Lord. Neither one
that sent greater than He that sent him. If you know these things, oh, blessed are you if you
do them. Don't just be a hearer of the word, but be a doer of the word. The word had been spoken
by the prophet Jesus of Nazareth of Galilee, whom God raised up from among the brethren.
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. John 13:16-17.
Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh who chastened us and we gave them reverence.
Shall we not rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits and live? Hebrews 12:9.
We had our fathers in the flesh. We respected them. We gave them respect and obeyed their rules.
They disciplined us
and we found it to be worthy. We gave them
respect and reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection
unto the Father of Spirits and live? Hebrews 12:9.
For he said in Isaiah 45, "Look unto me and be ye saved all the ends of the earth,
for I am God and there is no one else." Isaiah 45:22.
Shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits and live? Look unto me,
this is the LORD speaking. Look unto me and be ye saved all the
ends of the earth for I am God and there is none else. Isaiah 45:22.
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand."
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remains no more a sacrifice for sins, but certain fearful expectation of judgment. Oh,
and fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries. This is Hebrews chapter 10 26- 27.
If we continue to sin when we know the knowledge of the truth
there lies only a certain judgment and fire which shall
devour the adversaries. Hebrews chapter 10 verse 26- 27. For if you believed Moses,
you would believe me. This is Jesus. For he wrote of me. But if you believe not
his writings, how shall you believe my words? Oh, John 5 verse 46-47.
Jesus is telling them that Moses proclaimed
this truth right here,
