Early Life

James Tshepo Molefe (Born February 05, 1993) is a Black South African record producer, artist, songwriter, and musician. Known for his versatile guitar skills and knowledge, he is often regarded as one of the most influential musician of his generation, as well as being applauded for his incredible adrenaline-rush music performance stage presence. His music, often inspired by his personal endeavors and the ability to comprehend music theory, offers a sound predominantly centered around jazz harmonic structure and Hip-Hop, while exploring styles unconventional to modern hip hop music, contemporary jazz, dance, and soul


Born and raised in Rustenburg, Northwest, Tshepo expanded his fan base after appearing with South African Kwaito stars from Thebe, Alaska, Tzozo to other household names on SABC 2's reality TV show Afro Café, Season 10 under the theme "KwaitoLegends", which was produced by Relebogile Mabotja. Without neglecting the fact that he has been recognized by international jazz artists such as Carmen Lundy, Nils Landgren, Kevin Davison, Dan Selsick, and opened stage with numerous international acts including legendary American funk saxophonist Maceo Parker with The Nunote Band led by Dan Selsick. House Band for Jonathan Butler at LOGOS Bible Church, and South African leading artists such as The Soil, Ayanda Jiya, Nkoto Malebye, to name but a few.


He was only 21 years of age when he become one of the best jazz guitar students of his generation while studying Jazz and Popular Music at Tshwane University of Technology. With his passion and love for music he left his music studies after enrolling for a two year period to work with some of the greatest jazz musicians around Pretoria, Johannesburg, Rustenburg and Mahikeng as well as performing in Botswana, Lesotho and Sri Lanka.
