Hi,
I'm Judith Furedi from New York City.
I came here as an immigrant from Hungary and grew up listening to the Beatles.
We lived very close to the Dakota, where John Lennon resided before he was tragically taken from us.
The seed of a book formed in my mind as I wrote what was to be the first version of my triobute to
John Lennon, called 'Dear John: Letters from a Fan in NYC, AN INTERACTIVE. BOOK.'
Years later, as fate would have it, a friend introduced me to the man who brought the Beatles to the
USA. It was at a book signing for Sir George Martin. While Sir George wished me good luck
on my forthcoming new book, Sid Bernstein offered to write the foreword.
When 'John Lennon in Their Own Write' came out he promised to do a joint book signing at Bloomingdale's Flagship store. The rest is history.
I have also had my poetry set to music and performed at Carnegie Hall. I'm a member of ASCAP.
