August is a master teacher of stories and lessons from cross-cultural philosophies throughout the centuries, most particularly the Tao Te Ching. August has been an inspiring motivational leader and author for 25 years in New York City before relocating to Fort Lauderdale.
She is a veteran of organizations supporting people facing terminal illnesses, grieving losses, and other life challenges, including the Manhattan Center for Living, Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), Samaritan Suicide Hotline and Drop-in Center, and Sacred Circle. August was the founder and Spiritual Director of Sacred Center New York, and offered weekly evening empowerment events called Happy Hour w/August Gold & Carol Logen.
