About the author
Mayou Mecheri is an Algerian professional with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in the field with the National Drilling Company (ENTP), progressing from Derrickman to Driller, and later moved into Human Resources, where he still works today.
He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Kasdi Merbah University, Ouargla. This academic foundation empowered him to transition from field operations to strategic HR leadership.
In addition to his role at ENTP, Mayou is the Executive Director of MAYCONSULT, a private consultancy specialized in training, recruitment, and workforce development for the oil and gas sector.
Trilingual in Arabic, French, and English, he writes about leadership, personal development, and professional transformation in technical environments—drawing on both field experience and academic insight.
