My Heart Speaks is a creative writing platform used to encourage, cultivate and steward a new generation of writers and artists. Empowering them to use their gifts to bring forth awareness and gather resources for causes plaguing our communities including, but not limited to poverty, domestic violence, drug abuse and youth homelessness.
We utilize the arts and spoken word, in particular, to share our personal testimonies. Hoping to impart the importance of storytelling for both educational purposes and fun; but most importantly, to bring forth resolution and healing for the many internal struggles that we battle.
We facilitate youth workshops, create performance showcases, forums and events, in collaboration with various nonprofit organizations, shelters, residential programs, schools and ministries throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding areas since 2010.
