New Month. New Beginnings. ✨

As we enter this new month, let it be a month of rejoicing. Let everything that has breath give God praise! At the start of this year, God declared that it would be a year of restoration. He gave me six specific areas where He would bring restoration, and now, as we step into the eighth month, I can boldly say: the Lord is faithful.

What amazes me most is that God gave me this promise while I was in the midst of one of the most brutal storms of my life. Watching your child suffer, knowing there is nothing you can do to take their pain away, is one of the most heart-wrenching things a parent can endure. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that this battle was preparing me for everything God had promised me.

In that season, I learned so much about myself, about people, and most importantly, about God. Everything I claimed to believe in was tested, yet I stand here declaring God’s Word is true and He is faithful. I learned that God is in control, period! People may like to think they are, but the reality is they are not. God truly is the Author and Finisher of all things. And He revealed something powerful: before restoration can come, some things must be exposed, plucked up, rooted out, and brought into order.

Why am I sharing this? Because this is the time when the promise is being fulfilled. We are entering a season of new beginnings. God said He is doing a new thing old things have passed away. Everything that has happened over the past seven months has only prepared you for where He’s taking you next. This has been a season of extended transition and stretching. Some people didn’t make it with you, only because they weren’t prepared to go where God is ushering you in. As I reflected, God reminded me of the children of Israel. Over and over, Moses told them that the Lord was bringing them into the land He promised their ancestors. Though many didn’t live to see it, God still honored His promise through their descendants.

And here’s the good news: God is going to fulfill everything He said plus some. So, as we step into this new month, let this be a reminder: trust God. He is bigger than any problem you face. He is a Redeemer of time, and He will restore everything that seemed lost, stolen, or damaged. He will replace and refine every area of your life that was touched by the storm.
