I've Reviewed 200+ Car Content Accounts. They All Make the Same Mistake. ⚠️

People DM me their pages asking for feedback. I've reviewed over 200 car content accounts at this point. And I'd say 180 of them are making the exact same error.

They're documenting cars. They're not creating experiences.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

❌ THE DOCUMENTATION APPROACH (what 90% of creators do):

• Wide shot of car in parking lot

• Walk-around showing every angle

• Pop a trending song on top

• Add text: "V8 / 600HP / 0-60 in 3.9s"

• Post and wonder why it got 200 views

This is what a used car listing looks like. You're competing with AutoTrader. Nobody follows AutoTrader on TikTok.

✅ THE EXPERIENCE APPROACH (what gets millions of views):

• Open on your hand pulling the door handle — the click sound is the hook

• Interior reveal: camera sweeps across the dash, settles on the start button

• Finger presses start — the engine catches and ROARS

• Cut to exterior: exhaust tips pulsing, heat distortion visible

• Pull away shot from behind as the car launches

Same car. Same phone. Completely different content. The first shows what the car IS. The second shows what the car FEELS LIKE.

The 3-step fix you can apply to your very next video:

Step 1: Delete your establishing shot.

If the first frame shows the entire car, cut it. Always build to the reveal. Start with a detail — a badge, a wheel, the key fob — and let the viewer's brain fill in the rest until you show them.

Step 2: Capture real audio FIRST, add music SECOND.

Mute your next car video and listen to just the natural sounds. The engine rumble, the door thud, the exhaust crack. If those sounds don't make you feel something on their own, the video won't perform. Real audio creates presence. Music creates background noise.

Step 3: Film interactions, not objects.

Don't film THE CAR. Film a PERSON interacting with the car. A hand on the gear lever. Eyes in the rearview mirror. The moment of hesitation before you floor it. Humans connect with human moments, even in car content.
