The Love That Healed Me

Sometimes, we carry burdens that we can't easily explain. For years, I lived with an ache so deep, I didn’t know how to make sense of it. But there came a day when everything shifted. The pain dissolved, and I found the love I needed all along—inside me. Here’s a reflection of that journey, and perhaps it will resonate with yours.

The Love That Healed Me

There was a lump in my throat.

Not the kind you can wash away with a sip of water,

but a painful, heavy thing.

It came from somewhere deep—

a place I didn’t understand—

tearing through my being,

twisting every nerve,

scrunching every vessel in its path.

It filled me with shadows.

A weight of mistrust.

A void of hopelessness.

For the longest time, I believed this was my fate—

to carry the ache in silence.

To live with it.

But one day, I stopped running.

I stood still.

I breathed deeply and declared,

"I call it quits."

And that day, I realized:

I am the most important person in my life.

I do not need love that takes more than it gives,

or care that cuts deeper than it heals.

I am enough.

Enough to love myself.

Enough to hold myself.

Enough to become whole again.

No one—no one—

can love me better than I can.

That love is pure.

It is unshakable.

It is mine.

And on that day,

the lump dissolved like magic.

The shadows lifted.

And I found myself—whole and healing,

just as I was always meant to be.
