Hong Kong: Skyscrapers, Surprises, and a Dream Come True

Hi friend!

I hope you're doing absolutely amazing!

I’m so excited to be sharing my very first blog with you today! This is something I’ve been meaning to start for a while, and now that it’s finally happening, I can’t wait to keep the momentum going with weekly posts. It’s all about capturing moments, sharing my journey, and diving into things that inspire me—so let’s get into it!

I just got back from an unforgettable trip to Hong Kong, and wow... what an adventure! I spent a week in this incredible city, and trust me, it was everything I imagined and more. I’ve been wanting to visit Hong Kong for ages, and having finally stepped foot there, I can say it truly lives up to the hype. The city is a masterpiece when it comes to its skyline. The skyscrapers and towering residential buildings are something to behold, stretching high into the sky. When I first encountered Hong Kong through the video game Sleeping Dogs, I remember being mesmerised by the neon lights and the sheer energy of the place. While the neon glow isn’t as prominent in real life, the city’s vibe was still very much as I imagined. It’s a blend of old and new, traditional and futuristic, with so much character.

What surprised me most was how easy it was to get around. I initially thought navigating the city might be a bit tricky, but the public transport system is so efficient and accessible. It’s honestly a breeze to travel from one spot to the next, whether by MTR or ferry.

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Victoria Peak. The view from up there? Absolutely breathtaking. You get a panoramic glimpse of the entire city, from the busy streets below to the vast expanse of the harbour. It’s no wonder it’s one of the top spots on every traveller’s list. I also made sure to check out the Monster Building (Yick Cheong Building). If you’ve ever seen Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) and Ghost in the Shell (2017), you’ll know exactly what I mean when I say this place looks straight out of a dystopian movie. It’s massive, it’s eerie, and it’s awe-inspiring all at once. It felt surreal standing there, taking in the enormity of it.

There’s a certain magic in Hong Kong that I can’t quite put into words. It’s one of those places you simply have to experience for yourself. If you ever get the chance, you absolutely must go—trust me, it’s worth every moment.

Alright, I’ll leave you with that for now. I can’t wait to share more of my thoughts, photos, and experiences with you in the next post!

Catch you next time. :)

Keep creating,

Much love
