Natural meditation can uncover deeply held hidden beliefs and biases within the subconscious mind. Natural meditation refers to "non-practice", not seeking any result, not having any need for a guru, not needing specific poses or times in the day to engage in meditation, it's just ongoing observation, and consciousness returns when it's noticed that awareness isn't present.
National identity, religion, race, sex, position, status etc, or even ideas we might have about ourselves such as "I'm a great person" or "I'm terrible brother", etc are also a part of these images the mind can create and hold.
These images can act as blocks and biases when we attach ourselves to ideas we might have about who we see ourselves as; attachments to ideas about the world and other people act the same way -- it's possible to work through these attachments by noticing them when they arise as well as through inquiry.
Reactivity can arise when ideas or images that are held are challenged. When reactivity occurs and is noticed without judgement (or even if judgment occurs), it can provide an opportunity to do investigative work or to simply be present in the body. "Triggers" in this sense are are of great value.
