TBW5 - Nightmares and a side project

Nightmares is available in our store, Amazon, and just about everywhere else. This horror anthology is a gut punching, macabre feeling, reality-line blurring collection of stories. A tattoo burns its way into a young girl's dreams, a peyote trip that ends in a mess, a bleak societal vision of the future, and a grandpa's PTSD are a some of the nightmare horrors that fill these pages from The Butchered Writers. This is actually one of the more emotionally charged anthologies we've done. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and we'll rip your still-beating heart straight from your chest!

It's $3.99 for the ebook, unless you get it from our store @ $2.99. There are also discount offers when you add another book to your cart or buy a book.

We have an anthology side project going on and are open for submissions. We're looking for PG-PG13 Goosebumps, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Tales from the Crypt types of stories. Check out this blog entry's image for all of the details. If you have any questions, you can reach us at terrormonthly@yahoo.com or on Facebook.

On a more personal note, I'm reading the FOOD series from our own Jeffrey Caston. I'm enjoying it a ton so far. He's given me a character to root for and hope...but if you know Jeffrey, that won't last long! He's a super imaginative writer that brings you into his crazy, gross mind. If you haven't read any of Jeffrey's stories, I highly recommend checking out the FOOD series, or one of our faves that can be found in The Best of Terror Monthly called Necromantasy. And yes, it is about a sex toy that could end the world!

Thomas Stewart also has a new release coming July 9, called Hivetown USA. The cover looks amazing and he's assure us that this will be his grossest, most vile stories to date. Preorder on Amazon!

Next up for The Butchered Writers is the theme 80's MixTape. Lots of ideas have been getting thrown around amongst us in chats, and Andy has already written THREE stories for it! I'm wanting some killer 'big hair' monster from a member of Poison or some other band to try and take over the world, ha! Can't wait to see what this group comes up with.
