It's October 24, and I've hit a partial goal of writing 13 novelettes in 31 days...
Why partial? Because I wrote the majority of these new novelettes for a different penname. LOL. I set the goal as 13 novelettes under Stella Lovegood and Penrose Evergreen, and ended up only getting 2 novelettes penned for Stella Lovegood so far (with another 4 works-in-progress for the Monsters and Mayhem bundle on the way).
I'm the Queen of Productive Procrastination...
So, I'm being productive while also procrastinating... I find that sometimes I don't feel like working on certain novelettes, so I just spend my time working on other ideas, and those get done while the original story I meant to get out withers away on the side, glaring at me like "hey! What about me?!"
Guilty as charged.
But, for sure, I've written a lot. Here are my stats, and I'm proud of them, even if I really do need to get the Monsters and Mayhem stories out by Halloween!!
My Stats
The total word count across various novelettes (both completed and current works-in-progress) stands at 73, 347 words this month. That's a heck of a lot of words in just 3.5 weeks!
In terms of word count for outlines and research notes: 16, 429 words.
Then, word counts for blog posts and other website materials, as well as ARC reviews (because I just randomly found another way to procrastinate and spend time working on my website instead of writing books... LOL): 7, 834 words.
That brings my total word count for self-publishing to 97, 610 words so far... And I expect, with a hard push towards hitting 13 novelettes under my Stella Lovegood and Penrose Evergreen pennames by October 31, that word count might very well double in the next week. We'll see. Fingers crossed!
