Friday evening I was introduced to an incredible business owner, SB Smith, at the launch of her new studio in the heart of Norfolk, VA. It was amazing to see a fellow creative bring her dream to life. Her brand, GypSea Roots Collective blends self-development, empowerment, creativity, and relaxation together in a refreshing new way.
GypSea Roots' new studio is a one-stop shop for anyone looking to relax, heal, rejuvenate, or create. Making this a go-to spot for holistic wellness where one can create healing for their mind, body & soul.
When I arrived at the new studio, I instantly felt what a peaceful and calm atmosphere SB had created. From the crisp, comforting aroma to the welcoming plants in every room, GypSea Roots Collective's aesthetic draws you in wanting more. With attention given to every detail, it feels like a place to destress and be yourself. Even the lighting is intentional, and what a difference it makes. The overhead lighting has daylight bulbs instead of fluorescent ones, making even the plants feel right at home and able to thrive.
Everything from the reclaimed wood accents to the artwork and tapestries adorning the walls was carefully curated to create a space where customers can escape from the chaos of everyday life and be transported to a place of beauty and calm.
The environment was perfected with mouthwatering displays of food, with vibrant and lively flavors. The gorgeous presentations of food brought everything together in a harmonious way that highlighted how much the GypSea Roots brand values quality.
As if the decor and food weren't enough, GypSea Root's launch party was sparkling with an eclectic collection of personalities and talent. Pictured below are just some of the incredible people who showed up to support SB. On the left is Business Developer, Marketing Strategist, and #expertdreamcatcher, Marilen Crump. Marilen, the owner of ARTINSPIRED, LLC, is a mastermind at helping creatives & dreamers generate more profits in their businesses through her authentic coaching style and enthusiastic solutions. She even offers free training on public relations, marketing, promotions, branding, social media, and more!
On the right is Ebony, "Bunny" Peterman, a fasciologist at Fascial Treatment Center in Williamsburg, VA. She specializes in healing muscle tightness, back pain, arthritis, migraines, TMJ, plantar fasciitis, cellulite, wrinkles, swelling and so much more through fascial remodeling. Her work is truly remarkable and compliments GypSea Roots Collective beautifully. In fact, Bunny will be offering her services once a month at the new studio, be sure to schedule your appointment in advance because this fascia fanatic is in high demand! The evening was filled with great food, great people, lots of gifts - everyone seemed to bring a plant 🪴, and tons of laughter and smiles. It's clear that Friday evening was the start of an incredible journey for SB Smith and GypSea Roots Collective. I am excited to watch her brand flourish and grow in its gorgeous new studio located right in the heart of Norfolk.
As you can see in the photos from the launch event, GypSea Roots Collective owner, SB Smith is the real deal. Her welcoming spirit and contagious smile represent her brand perfectly. After just five minutes in her presence, you feel as though you've known her for years.
She radiates authenticity, passion, and warmth - qualities that shine through both in her personal demeanor as well as in each space she's created in the studio. GypSea Roots Collective's new location is SB's vision brought to life, and her uplifting spirit is the magic that truly gives the space its soul.
