Ethan West is a blonding and extension expert at Blown Away Salon in Hayes, VA. Ethan is super down-to-earth and fun to be around. He is very welcoming and does a great job at helping clients relax and enjoy their appointment.
At this mini-branding session, my goal was to capture Ethan's essence so that potential clients could get a feel for what to expect at their appointment. To achieve this I focused on getting images that showcase the attention he gives to his craft, as well as the peaceful ambiance he creates for each person who sits in his chair.
Whether clients want subtle highlights to brighten their hair or a full-on hair transformation, Ethan has the expertise and experience to achieve the look they desire. He keeps up with all the latest trends and techniques in hair extensions, coloring, highlighting, and styling and consistently challenges himself to develop his skills so he can provide each client with exceptional service - and gorgeous hair!
Ethan recently celebrated his five-year anniversary at Blown Away Salon. He started when he was fourteen years old as an apprentice and completed his education through the New Horizon's program at his high school. Having this hands-on experience helped expedite Ethan's career at Blown Away Salon by giving him the experience and education he needed to build on his skills and expanded his client base. In fact, things have come full circle, the beautiful model in the photos is actually Ethan's apprentice, Kara Brown.
Kara and Ethan make such a great team and were a lot of fun to work with. They each wanted headshots to use for promoting themselves as stylists. I thought it would be great to have pictures of them together to show off what a dynamic duo they are as well. The photos above, as well as the two below, are a great sample of what to expect for indoor headshots, versus outdoor. The two on the left are indoors and the two on the right are outdoors on an overcast afternoon.
Branding photography is such a great way to show potential clients what your brand offers and what they can expect when they work with you. Branded images are great to use in conjunction with selfies, "check-ins" and stories on social media. It helps your audience get a full picture of who you are, what you do, and how you may be able to help them. I love these images of Kara and Ethan because it makes me feel like I can trust them and that they're fun to be around, both important elements when choosing a hairstylist.
I simply adore photos like the one above when people are in their natural element and relaxed, the finished photos look so much more relatable when people are enjoying their photo shoot!
Speaking of enjoying the photo shoot, I think this image is a cool representation of how much Ethan enjoys his leadership role. He is a great teacher and was recently promoted to manager of the salon. He loves helping his team grow and develop their skills. He takes great pride and fulfillment in leading stylists and ensuring high-quality service for all clients.
As part of this branding shoot, I included photos of the salon and some of the amenities offered. Photos like this are great to use to promote sales for merchandise, or on the company website as a way for customers to see the salon before they book an appointment.
The salon offers a super cute clothing boutique, a wide range of premium hair care products, waxing services, and more. They provide everything needed for a complete beauty and style transformation, including an awesome staff!
With Ethan as their stylist, clients can leave Blown Away Salon confident that their hair not only looks amazing but with hair they love. Ethan's passion for hair and his talent as a stylist comes through in everything he does. He truly does "blow away" his clients with gorgeous hair and exceptional customer service.
