All about Heather

Established in 1984 this artist has lived, breathed, and sketched fantastical worlds her entire life.

After experiencing a massive burnout in 2015 she went radio silent for years… but little did anyone realize during this journey of the unknown she was finding herself. Among her 80lb weight loss and discovering she was also neurodivergent she has come to better understand the complex individual she is. Now with a new gained confidence she finds motivation for her art wherever she goes with a lot inspiration from the macro worlds of her photography.

Nature Photography

I took a photography class back in 2005 when I was in college for Computer Graphics and the passion ingrained itself forever in me. I've shot with Fuji, Canon, Sony, Google Pixel, and now with my Nikon. As a hobbyist, I've shot people, architecture, landscapes, wildlife, macro, culinary. I've won awards for my insect photography and I had two of my works in Caprice Magizine #20 issued in 2013. After exploring my options I fell in love with macro nature and the tiny worlds hidden with ours.

Traditional Drawing

A world of fantasy both beautiful and bizarre with a touch of occasional horror. This is were all my imagination begins.

Digital Painting

A dying art for me with the world of AI taking over. It's just not as fullfilling when some one can wish something to existence. Everything drawn here has taken days (occasionally weeks) on a good ol' Wacom Intuos Pro 4 and either Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop CS5.1, and the older works with Paint Tool Sai.
