Onstage for Android: Your Portable Keys Rig
Enjoy a better live keys rig experience on your phone, using any midi controller, anywhere, with Onstage for Android. Create your own setlists, layer your own sounds, build your own song patches, and get started right away with the onstage essentials sounds. And of course, Import and use your own soundfonts for limitless possibilities (soundfont imports are disabled in the demo version*)
Beta 0.4.0 Update:
Important:
This is a breaking update. Please uninstall the previous version before installing this one. All your setlists and songs will be deleted.
The demo soundpack is now in a separate package for easier download. To install, open the content manager in onstage, click on "import content", and select the "Demo Soundpack.onpack" you just downloaded.
Bugfixes
- Fix key sustain issue when transpose and octave effects are applied
- Fix patch not loading some sounds correctly
- Fix audio stuttering when switching patches or scenes
- Fix sustain pedal release not triggering after switching patches
Performance and Feature Related Changes
- Move audio processing and soundfont loading to native layer (reduce performance overhead)
- Reduce audio latency on Android to ~3ms (from ~20ms)
- Optimize sound stacking to reduce CPU usage
- Support up to 8 sounds per patch (subject to device performance limits)
- Support loading both .sf2 and .sf3 soundfonts
Visual Changes
- Rename 'Snapshots' to 'Scenes'
- Added velocity range setting for sounds
- Added velocity display when pressing keys
- Added content manager for loading Sound packs
- For larger screens: Patch name and the piano roll are now visible
- Improved UI for sound selection

- Setlist management: Create and manage a setlist
- Song patch management: Create up to 3 song patches and add up to 2 patches to your Set
- Sounds management: Add and layer up to 3 sounds per patch
- Snapshots: Create and add snapshots with names and transitions
- Sound Settings: Ignore sustain, use a fixed velocity, or transpose and layer octaves for each sound.
