Vox Formant
Vox Formant (VST3, CLAP, AUv2)
Vox Formant is a polyphonic vocal synthesizer for playable vowel melodies, soft choir layers, and expressive vocal textures.
Play it from MIDI or use the built-in keyboard. Move smoothly through A, E, I, O, and U while the animated vocal tract and spectrum respond with the sound. Breath moves the voice from a clear tone toward airy, whispered color, while Glottal Shape and Formant Shift help you find everything from focused lead sounds to darker, larger voices. Vibrato Rate, Depth, and Delay let the sound settle before it begins to move.
Choose SOLO, DUET, or CHOIR, then add detune and stereo width for intimate leads, doubled parts, or broad ensemble chords. ADSR controls shape the performance from short vocal stabs to long, slowly rising pads. The on-screen keyboard, octave buttons, mod wheel, pitch bend, output meter, and responsive vocal-tract display make the instrument easy to play and understand at a glance.
Browse 24 factory presets including open ahs, soprano vowels, breathy voices, monk-like oohs, choir swells, vocal leads, and slowly morphing pads. Use it for vocal melodies, choir layers, expressive chord beds, breathy transitions, and vowel-based sound design.
