Signal in Scarlet

Black-and-white, but never quiet. In this self-portrait, I’m caught in profile—hair pulled into a messy bun, dark shades on, lips set like a decision. The world around me isn’t soft: it’s grit, static, and blueprint lines, like my thoughts have been mapped into geometry.

The scarlet slashes cut through the monochrome like warnings… or invitations. Splattered paint, technical schematics, sharp angles—everything says controlled chaos. It’s the side of me that doesn’t pose for approval: cool, untouchable, and dangerously composed.
