This anthology could be re-titled "His Life in Art".  Max Cullen studied art at the National Art School, Sydney, then Julian Ashton's art school and later studied sculpture under Lindon Dadswell at East Sydney Tech. He has been a press artist on various newspapers and magazines in Sydney, had exhibitions of painting, prints and sculpture, studied acting at Hayes Gordon's Ensemble Theatre and been a busy actor for the past fifty years. Still holding exhibitions of his art while all the time writing plays, short stories and poetry.

This book delivers a fair sample of Cullen's love of poetry.
