Children in today's schools are carrying more than they should ever have to carry alone. Anxiety. Grief. Trauma. Identity questions. Feelings they've never had words for. And most of them are sitting in classrooms where no one is giving them the language, the tools, or the space to process any of it.
Most SEL programs weren't built for them. They were built for compliance — worksheets and checklists that look good in a curriculum audit but don't reach a nine-year-old who watched something they can't unsee. They don't use story. They don't use music. They don't meet children where the research actually says children are.

About the Founder
Ivy Caldwell is an ordained elder, Certified Master Life Coach, Certified Youth Mental Health Coach, and Certified Trauma-Informed Coach with over 14 years of direct experience working with children and families. She is the founder of Footprint Enterprises LLC, a children's book author, speaker, and the creator of the ANEW Youth™ SEL Learning Series.
She created this program because she kept sitting with children who were struggling — in schools, in counseling offices, in the community — and the tools that existed weren't working. So she built it herself.
What Makes ANEW Youth™ Different
● Story-based. Every session is anchored in a children's book from the ANEW Youth™ series.
● Music-integrated. Every session includes an original, fully produced song — included in every license tier, no add-on required.
● Trauma-informed. Facilitators are taught to hold space, not interrogate.
● CASEL-aligned. All 12 core sessions map directly to the five CASEL competencies.
● Three grade bands. PreK–K, Grades 1–3, and Grades 4–6 — each with age-appropriate language built directly into the student workbook.

IMPORTANT:
Sessions 8 (Why Am I Here?) and 9 (Why Daddy Why?) must be facilitated by a licensed school counselor, social worker, or trained professional with formal child abuse prevention and crisis training. Full guidance is included in your Implementation Guide.

Licensing
Your license is annual and grants you the right to use all ANEW Youth™ School Edition materials for one full program year. Licenses are renewable. ANEW Youth™ retains full ownership of all program content. Sharing, redistributing, or sublicensing materials is not permitted under any tier.
