First hated it, then loved it

Ok, the 1st impression was horrible. I was overwhelmed - the tool seemed to complicated + I felt my Chinese level is too low to take advantage of it. But I slept it over, watched tutorial, started to download my own stuff there and I love it hahahah.
What I don't like - the study material that is already downloaded. I understand it is there for a reason but I will have to clean my tool out of it.
And I am always irritaed with the apps for Apple users only (resource section) - here in Poland majority of us use android. But still - the resource section is a treasure!!! Thanks for that!

Game-changer

I've been following Danyo for a year now and finally decided to pull the trigger on this. As a busy university student, I've also been trying to learn Mandarin for a while now, and this system has been a game-changer for me.

This template is the holy grail of Chinese learning (or any language!)

It's everything you could ever want in one place, and it's super customizable so that you can make it work for your specific needs. The vocabulary section has a spaced-repetition system, flashcards to help you learn new vocabulary. The study tracker will help you keep track of what you're studying and how well you're doing with it. The journal is great for building a writing habit with prompts. As well as a database of resources that I've used myself or would like to use in the future.

All these features are great by themselves—but together they make the perfect package to help me reach my Chinese learning goals!

Very complete Chinese learning template

This template has everything that you could ever need for a good language learning system. Vocab section with SRS and flashcards, study tracker, journal with useful templates, resources database and more. I particularly like the Study tracker as I hadn't thought to use spaced repetition with study materials as well as vocabulary. You can also review the vocabulary for each study material very easily. I also really liked the resources database to keep track of resources I use in the present and resources I might use in the future once I advance in my level. I quite liked the 30 day challenge page, I've never done one before but it's motivating me to do it! It is also very customisable and I was able to adapt it to my needs. I think this template could be used for any language!

Exceeded expectations

I've tried a lot of different Notion templates in the past and this has to be up there with the better ones. I used to get too distracted with using too many different apps and programs to keep track of my Chinese study but with this I can keep everything organized in one system. Exactly what I was looking for!

My favorites are the study tracker, vocab list and flashcards. Very intuitive and easy to use and motivates me to study more! I also love the visual statistics to keep track of progress.

The only downside is that it can take some getting used to the template system if you haven't used Notion before. But once you get into a rhythm with it, it runs pretty smooth.

Highly recommend Chinese Companion for serious learners!
