What exactly does the pre-assessment cover?

Our pre-assessment focuses on foundational early learning skills for children ages 18 months to 5 years. It includes letter sound recognition, fine motor skills, attention span, comprehension, movement-based memory, and early math concepts such as numbers, counting, and shapes. It’s designed to give a clear, developmentally appropriate snapshot of where your child stands academically.

The Initial Assessment PLUS serves children up to age 10 who may benefit from additional support in building strong foundational skills across reading, writing, and math.

How long does the assessment take, and how is it delivered?

The assessment takes about 30 to 45 minutes (IA PLUS time varies) and can be completed in person or virtually, depending on your preference and location. All sessions are one-on-one and designed to feel like playful learning, not testing—making it stress-free for young children.

Should I choose the Initial Assessment or the IA PLUS?

The Initial Assessment focuses on foundational skills for children under age 5. Whereas the IA PLUS covers everything in the Initial Assessment PLUS and extensive component in reading, writing and math. The IA PLUS is beneficial for up to primary school age children.

What do I receive after the assessment is done?

You will receive a personalized progress summary that outlines your child's strengths, areas that need support, and clear next steps for their learning journey. This report will guide your decision on the best tutoring path or how to support your child at home. If you continue with our tutoring services, this report helps us build a customized plan based on your child’s exact needs.
