Mum's Wallpaper Strippy

This lap quilt came about because of the fabric - it was just like the wallpaper my mother had in her hall, the first thing you saw as you went into the house. I needed to show it off, not cut it up in little bits, and a strippy quilt seemed ideal. When I made the second quilt I didn't have as much fabric so I didn't add the top and bottom borders.
The quilts are 35 inches wide and either 42 or 56 inches long depending on those top and bottom borders being added. You can always add extra pieced strips to make yours wider. Your quilt - your rules!
As ever with these strippy quilts they are ideal for showing off or practising your quilting - busy prints will hide any oops moments, plain fabrics will display off your quilting skills.
