Hoarfrost quilt pattern

Crisp foundation paper pieced snowflakes on a simple pieced background are framed by a stitch-and-flip pieced border reminiscent of hoarfrost crystals in this striking winter-themed quilt.

The paper foundation templates feature trimmed points to assist with alignment when joining pieced sections.  Suggested cut sizes for ever paper pieced patch take the guesswork out of cutting and preparation.

Fabric requirements:

• 13 fat eighths (9" x 20" cuts) of assiorted light/medium/dark blues (background squares)
• 2 yards blue print (background squares, snowflake background, borders)
• 1 1/2 yards white (snowflakes, borders)
• 1/2 yard white (2 1/4" double fold straight grain binding)
• 3 1/8 yards backing
• 56" x 68" batting
