This Activated Charcoal Deodorant Cream is a smooth, balm-style deodorant designed to help neutralise odour while remaining gentle on the skin. Inspired by the performance and simplicity of cream deodorants such as those popularised by Little Seed Farm, this formulation focuses on odour control rather than sweat suppression, making it suitable for daily use and sensitive underarm skin.

The formula is built on a nourishing base of mango butter and jojoba oil, which closely mimics the skin’s natural lipid profile. This helps the product glide easily during application while supporting skin comfort and barrier function. Caprylic/capric triglyceride improves spreadability and reduces drag, giving the cream a lightweight, non-greasy skin feel despite its anhydrous structure.

Beeswax provides structure and stability to the formulation, allowing it to hold its shape while still softening slightly on contact with skin. Zinc ricinoleate plays a key functional role by trapping and neutralising odour-causing molecules rather than masking them. Triethyl citrate further supports odour control by helping to inhibit the enzymatic breakdown of sweat components that lead to unwanted smells.

Dry Flo, a modified corn starch, improves sensory performance by absorbing excess moisture and reducing the heavy or oily feel sometimes associated with balm-style deodorants. Activated charcoal powder adds an additional layer of odour adsorption, helping to capture impurities and contribute to a cleaner underarm feel throughout the day.

The formula is finished with a carefully selected fragrance oil for a fresh, pleasant scent, along with vitamin E to support oxidative stability of the oils and enhance the overall shelf life of the product.
