Content Description

This man arrives for his plaster cast change wearing a black sock over his cast because of the cold weather. We meet him at the reception desk and follow him on crutches into the waiting area.

Unbelievably, he extends his socked plaster cast towards us and places it on a chair. How we long to take off his sock to admire - and perhaps even touch - his toes, which, judging by their shape, rest on a plate.

A short time later, his name is called. He leans on his crutches and disappears into the plaster room.

We see him again as he comes out. His sock is gone, thanks to the new cast, and we can FINALLY see his toes, which are once again covered with a plate. He moves on crutches to another waiting area. We follow him, of course. There, too, we observe him closely, as he sits directly opposite us. This gives us a clear view of the entire cast, including the underside of the plate, and allows us to appreciate the beauty of a plaster cast!

He is called in for an X-ray. When he returns, he is sitting elsewhere, and we get a different view of the cast, more from the side.

We stay for a moment and catch another glimpse as he leaves the hospital. While waiting outside for his ride, he sits on the bench, stretches out his leg again, and elevates it. His foot is covered with the black sock again.

Finally, he walks with his crutch to the car and is driven home.
