The Quiet Painting Break: 30 Minutes. One Painting. Just for You

What if you gave yourself 30 minutes to make something again?

One painting. A little paint. A little space that's just yours.

Do you remember making things just because you wanted to?

Not because it had to be useful.

Not because it had to be good.

Not because anyone was going to see it.

Just because you felt like making something.

Maybe life got fuller somewhere along the way. There was always something else to do, someone else to think about, somewhere else to be.

And your creative side got quieter.

The Quiet Painting Break is a simple way to make a little room for it again.

In this self-paced 30-minute experience, I'll guide you through creating an expressive flower with color, brushwork, texture, and a palette knife.

But here's the important part:

You don't have to paint mine.

I'll show you where to begin.

You choose where it goes.

TAKE YOUR QUIET PAINTING BREAK

YOU DON'T NEED A WHOLE AFTERNOON.

Maybe you've been thinking about doing something creative for a while.

But when would you find the time?

Between work and family. Between errands and messages. Between everything you have to remember.

That's why I made this small.

Thirty minutes.

Long enough to settle in, pick up a brush, play with color, and create something you didn't have before.

Short enough that you can actually fit it into your day.

You can make a cup of coffee.

Press play.

And paint.

START WITH A FLOWER. SEE WHERE YOU TAKE IT.

I'll begin with you.

We'll work with a simple flower and explore color, shape, brushwork, texture, and palette-knife marks along the way.

You can follow my process closely.

Or you can change things as you go.

Maybe you choose completely different colors.

Maybe your flower grows across the whole page.

Maybe you make it bold and messy.

Maybe it's quiet and delicate.

There isn't one right way for it to turn out.

The painting becomes yours through the choices you make.

I GUIDE. YOU CHOOSE.

DON'T PAINT MINE.

MAKE YOURS.

This is not a “follow my painting exactly” tutorial.

The flower I create is simply a place to start.

I'll give you ideas.

I'll demonstrate the process.

Then I'll leave room for you to respond to what you're seeing on your own page.

That's where the fun begins.

You might make a mark you didn't expect.

Try a color you normally wouldn't choose.

Scrape some paint away and discover something underneath.

Keep going.

Change your mind.

Start again.

You are allowed to follow your own instincts.

YOUR QUIET PAINTING BREAK

START

Put your colors in front of you.

Take a breath.

Make the first mark.

EXPLORE

We'll build the flower through simple shapes, color, brushwork, and texture.

You'll also get to experiment with a palette knife or makaw.

PLAY

This is where you can loosen up.

Add something.

Take something away.

Try a different color.

See what happens.

CHOOSE

Follow my lead or take your painting somewhere else.

There's no need to bring it back.

FINISH

Eventually, you'll put your brush down.

Look at the page.

And realize you made something.

Something that wasn't there 30 minutes ago.

AND IF YOU ONLY HAVE 10 MINUTES...

You can still create.

Your purchase also includes the 10-Minute Creative Break, a shorter experience for those days when 30 minutes simply isn't going to happen.

No guilt.

No “I'll do it properly tomorrow.”

Ten minutes can be enough to pick up a brush and begin.

WHAT'S INSIDE

THE QUIET PAINTING BREAK

A 30-minute recorded guided painting experience where you'll create your own expressive flower.

Paint alongside me.

Pause when you need to.

Replay a section.

Take your time.

It's self-paced because your painting doesn't need to move at my pace.

THE QUIET PAINTING JOURNAL

A simple printable companion to keep beside you while you paint.

You'll have space to play with colors, jot down ideas, notice little discoveries, and give your finished painting a name.

You don't have to fill out every page.

You don't even have to write much.

It's there if you want it.

THE 10-MINUTE CREATIVE BREAK

A shorter creative experience for the days when your schedule is full.

Ten minutes.

A few colors.

A few marks.

A chance to make something.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

Not much.

You can use whatever you already have at home.

You'll need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • A few paints
  • Brushes
  • Water
  • Something to mix your colors on
  • A palette knife or makaw

Suggested colors

Titanium White

Aquamarine

Magenta or Permanent Rose

Warm Yellow

Ultramarine Blue

Sap Green

Koala Gray (Makaw Paint)

Don't have those exact colors?

Use what you have.

Your painting doesn't need my palette either.

“I'M NOT REALLY AN ARTIST.”

You don't have to be.

You don't need previous painting experience. You don't need to understand color theory. And you certainly don't need to know what you're doing before you begin.

I'll show you where to start.

Then we'll take it one choice at a time.

And if you make a mark you don't like?

Keep going.

Paint over it.

Change it.

Scrape it away.

That's part of painting.

“WHAT IF MINE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE YOURS?”

I hope it doesn't.

Seriously.

If you finish with a painting that's completely different from mine, that's a wonderful thing.

It means you made choices.

You followed your curiosity.

You made something that belongs to you.

“WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE MY PAINTING?”

You might not love every part of it.

That's normal.

Not every painting has to become a masterpiece.

Sometimes you need to step away and come back.

Sometimes you decide it's finished and move on.

The point isn't to produce something perfect.

It's to give yourself the freedom to make something without needing it to be perfect.

THIS MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF...

You miss making things.

You used to draw, paint, dance, write, craft, or create and somehow stopped.

You have ideas but rarely make time for them.

You want to try painting without committing to a long course.

You'd like something creative you can do at home.

Or maybe you simply have a feeling that you'd like to make something again.

That's enough.

WHY 30 MINUTES?

Because I didn't want creativity to become another thing you have to schedule perfectly.

You don't need a free Saturday.

You don't need a studio.

You don't need to wait for inspiration.

You need a little space.

Thirty minutes gives you enough time to settle in, experiment, and finish something.

And when it's over, you can look at what you've made and say:

“I made that.”

LET THIS BE YOUR LITTLE BREAK.

Find a quiet corner.

Put some paint in front of you.

Play the video.

And permit yourself to be a beginner.

You can pause.

You can come back tomorrow.

You can change the colors.

You can take the idea somewhere completely different.

There is no right way to make your painting.

There is only your way.

YOU MIGHT BE SURPRISED BY WHAT HAPPENS.

Maybe you'll discover a color combination you love.

Maybe you'll enjoy using a palette knife.

Maybe you'll remember how satisfying it feels to make something with your hands.

Or maybe you'll simply enjoy those 30 minutes.

That's enough, too.

Because creativity doesn't always need to become something bigger.

Sometimes it's enough to make something simply because you wanted to.

READY TO MAKE SOMETHING AGAIN?

You don't need to know exactly what you're doing.

You don't need to call yourself an artist.

You don't need to wait until you have more time.

Choose a color.

Make a mark.

See where it takes you.
