Uprooted

Something is rising from the bowels of the Earth. Only a handful of people are all there are between armageddon and the destruction of the human race. The first in the Usha Benévion trilogy.

I wanted to make a simple 'monster' story. This has shades of John Wyndham and Doctor Who but I had immense fun in writing it. I became enamoured with Usha Benévion and featured her in two subsequent stories.
