We Are All Thieves
The problem isn't that Angela is a thief. The problem is that everyone else is.
Management at the New York City superstore Widgets Inc. is fed up with the latest round of thefts. Over seven days, Angela Porter, and every other Widgets Inc. employee eking out a living, will have the spotlight on them before corporate bureaucrats decide who'll be fired. For the check-to-check existence of each worker, the loss of income could mean doom.
Struggling to figure out the next move for herself and her daughter, Angela's life, and lies of those that surround her, become a microcosm of a world rarely seen. A world where stealing—whether things, ideas, or power—becomes survival. A world where Angela must decide whether to sacrifice who she is or find another way to balance life on the knife's edge of poverty.
