Brief Summary Reading Logs

Every week the class stops by the library to pick a new book to read. Every student picks their own book depending on their particular interest. I enjoy reading brief summaries to know if it is a particular book I would like to read myself or to my own children. This is where these reading logs come in. With these reading logs you will get the title, author, a brief summary, rating, and just in case you need it, a space for parents to sign or initial their names. This allows the students to display a wide range of their abilities such as handwriting, the ability to write concise short information, be able to fill a form, and think about the use of grammar and punctuation. I have included nine different layouts because I love variety and it keeps the students excited every time they receive a new page.
