Vesuvius & Pompeii

You can now build Mount Vesuvius with Pompeii which is similar in size to the Great Pyramid of Giza set 21058 and is a perfect companion to that set.

It includes the Vesuvius, the Aqua Augusta, the Forum, the Capitolium, the Amphitheatrum and the Port of Pompeii. You can also find a destroyed building, not all buildings were rebuilt after a severe earthquake in AD 62, 17 years before the eruption of the Vesuvius. 

If you choose to buy the bricks for the model twice you can create a completed Mount Vesuvius.

On the back of the model you can see a typical cross-section of a stratovolcano, including the large magma chamber at the bottom, the conduit (pipe) that leads to the top, the throat and the vent of the volcano.
