Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction Patient Handout
Are you or your patients experiencing pain along the inside of the ankle and arch?
Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction (PTTD) is a functional problem where the posterior tibial tendon becomes irritated, weakened, or damaged, which can lead to pain, weakness, and a flattening of the foot arch over time. While PTTD can cause significant discomfort during weight-bearing activities, the early stages are usually manageable with conservative care.
Exercise plays a central role in managing PTTD because it helps strengthen the surrounding muscles, improve foot control, and reduce pain. To support this evidence-based, conservative approach, we have released a comprehensive PTTD Patient Handout as part of our digital exercise packages.
