The Rune-Bound Queen

This original artwork is one of my darker fantasy pieces — a portrait of strength, mystery, and ancient power.

I wanted to create a woman who feels as though she belongs to a forgotten northern legend: marked by runes, wrapped in shadow and bronze, and carrying the quiet authority of someone who has survived battles both physical and spiritual. There is something almost ritualistic about her presence, as if she stands somewhere between warrior, seer, and queen.

The worn textures, deep blacks, and weathered golds give the piece the feeling of an ancient relic brought back to life — beautiful, fierce, and touched by something supernatural.

For me, The Rune-Bound Queen is about power that does not need to shout. She simply stands there, carrying her history, her scars, and her secrets with her.
